I reviewed the topics here for the last 100 days and noticed there weren't any discussions about "Trotter", the Hobbit that would be Strider.
I have read only little about him, that he was small and dark, and a well travelled Hobbit, but I'd like to know if anyone knows a bit more about him?

I'm sorry, but I have no idea what you're talking about :(
Sorry....where did you find out or read about him?

Trotter the Hobbit Ranger was also known as Peregrin Bolger. He was Bilbo's favorite nephew and he would often listen to his Uncles stories about his adventures, but when he began talking about going on some adventures of his own his father forbid him to talk to Bilbo. The distraught Peregrin (fondly known as Perry) ran away and had QUITE a few adventures, including being the second hobbit of four to make thier way into Mordor. Because of his "visit" to Barad-dur Perry was forced to wear wooden clogs for the rest of his life. So the people of Bree called Him Trotter because of the sound his clogs made on the cobble stones. Quite an interesting story. If you want more about him I suggest you read "Return of the shadow" it's the original rough draft of LOTR, which is pretty funny when compared to what WE'RE used to.
Hope that helped,
Sam

Excellent! I shall search on it tonight at work. :)
Should we move or close this thread then?
