I know Treebeard is supposed to have a deep voice, but for some reason I always heard a sing-song, maybe tenor voice for his dialogue in my mind. Jones would be good, but then Treebeard would sound like Darth Vader ;)

Nah, it's not Vader without the breathing.

Besides, Treebeard is supposed to have a voice like a deep woodwind instrument, to paraphrase (I'll dig up the exact quote later if I remember to)...
