Okay, this thread is for those avid Schnooglers among us, to discuss Harry Potter fanfiction in general and Schnoogle in particular. My favorites (so far) are:

I am absolutely in love with the Draco trilogy. It's kind of sad, really, if I think about it...so I don't! I love the way she writes Draco...and I'm DYING over here for DV9! Grrrargh!
I also just read "Draco Malfoy, The Amazing Bouncing...Rat?" and that's great too. Heh.

Shagging...how many people can I think of in the Draco trilogy? Ron and Mystery Girl (I'll call her that until you get to DV8, Mirahzi, and find out who she really is), Harry and Hermione (?) (not sure if they shag yet), Draco and any female (okay, not really, but that's his personality). Argh, too many fanfics clogging up my brain. You want shagging? The Marks We Bear by Marysia contains much shagging. It's a Draco/Harry slash fic, but a good one. Also! One of my friends, the one who got me hooked on Schnoogle in the first place, wrote 2 fics so far under the name of Belladonna (on The Dark Arts). They're really short, and I keep waiting for her to post her really good one, called The Sweetest Poison. It's long. Me loves Schnoogle.

I sort of started reading Snitch! but the first chapter or so wasn't that great, although I've heard that the rest of it is awesome, and I kinda stopped. So maybe I'll go back and read it. I read the first story and a half of the Draco Trilogy and I didn't really like it all that much. Guess I'm just not a Draco fan. I enjoyed the first one but I just couldn't get into the second one.

Yeah, I like D/G fics. Draco/Hermione ones don't quite work, it has to be Harry/Hermione, Draco/Ginny, or Draco/Harry! Although I really am NOT a fan of H/Hr fics. Or H/G ones, for that matter. On that subject, does anyone know which fic it was that got Cassie Claire in all that trouble last winter? The Harry/Ginny one where a 7th year Harry married Ginny and got her pregnant? Cassie Claire read it, hated it, reviewed it and said as much, and acquired a stalker because of it. I'm interested in reading the controversial fic, just because. And watch for The Sweetest Poison, coming soon from Belladonna! (That would be a friend of mine who has the coolest story! Plus a very awesome Draco and an incredible Snape. DoE knows Belladonna as well)

Slash is everywhere (as is angst, to some extent, except Riddikulus), but it abounds at the DarkArts (http://www.thedarkarts.org). Like romance is everywhere, but mostly at the AstronomyTower (http://www.astronomytower.org). I don't like the DarkArts as much, I'm a happy person, not a doomandgloom person, although I love slash. I occasionally go to the DarkArts if there's a fic that's been recommended, or I just feel like it, but that's occasionally.

Werewolf trials was more of a friendship slash tense story about remus and a trial agianst him because of what happend with Snape. It was very good.:) I will try to link you to it when I get back from school today.

"8 Ways from Sunday" is a really good fic; I liked it a lot. And anyone who has not read "Draco Malfoy the Amazing Bouncing... Rat?" by Maya needs to. It is hereby deemed required reading!

I'm rather edgy about reading Snitch!. I've been told by numerous sources (my sister and TC in particular) that it's great, but I generally don't like slashy stuff (8 Ways was the exception)... and I'm not eager to see my favorite characters tweaked greatly. Should I still read it?

There've been some really good fics on the DarkArts lately...although the funniest fic I've read in a while besides Bouncing Rat was on Riddikulus, called "Shiny and New - an Organic Experience"; I forget who the author was. It's only me first ever fic, ya know. :p I'm not sure what to call it, though. It features Depressed!Hermione and Slut!Blaise (in my mind, Blaise Zabini is a tart - I mean girl ;)). Yes, TS, I'm most definitely sure that I don't want to read the Anita Blake books. I'm sure they're great and wonderful, but I'm perfectly happy trying to catch up on my Tolkien and CS Lewis reading. Well, click the link in my sig. Chapter two is up, and when/if you get time to read that, i'll email chapter three to you, because that's not up yet, neither is chapter 4, but that's mid-beta. But i have the most hideous, heart-wrenching, misery filled ending for this fic. Even though it will be slashy and yummy, it will be sad and depressing too. It's Girl!Blaise. But one of my friends cried "NO! You shall not kill Blaise! Blaise is uber-shibby! Kill Pansy instead!" because I had Blaise commit suicide. So now it's Hermione/Pansy, I don't know why. It just is. And there's this one scene of dialogue that really needs work, because it sucks really badly, so I need to fix it. A lot. I'll do that now, shall I? Yeah.

Can't Stop the Poison (http://www.schnoogle.com/authors/xkarris/CSP01.html) is a very loooong fic. Only three chaps up, so you might be able to handle it! :D This one is about Draco trying to break away from his father's teachings when he murders Narcissa. However, all is not what it seems, and the murder is still to be solved. Draco suffers greatly from being torn between the dark and the light sides and will eventually be pushed over the edge by it.

Can't recommend LotR sites - although Library of Moria is all LotR slash - but I can recommend one hilarious Harry/Snape fic: the Mirror of Maybe (http://www.schnoogle.com/author/midnightblue/MOM01.html), by Midnight Blue. More chapters are up on ff.net than on Schnoogle, but I don't have the ff.net link handy, so the schnoogle one is what I just gave. It's got a Yahoo! group, too, with lots and lots of yummy little cookies...

But a really good one was "My life as a house elf" About hermione getting turned into a house elf and gets purchased by Malfoy and you can guess the rest right?
I am about to put a fic on about Hermione getting turned into an owl and is used as a messanger for pen pals(quill pals) to the people they met last year from around Europe. Then she starts to send letters for Malfoy and learns how mean his quill pal is and tries to warn him and starts to fall in love with him.
How does it sound????????
