My apologies to all. I have been traveling and relocating and have not had a chance to respond to any posts for a while. Thank you for all the posts and questions. I have not responded to half of them as well as I would like and I like half of my responses as much as I should.

Hey Hama, if you're still back.

What's the deal with this forum? Only a few people even know anything about the One Ring Musical, and there are only five threads. Further, there is almost no discussion about any aspect of the musical. A thread that I (who know nothing about the musical) started is the second largest in the forum, and it only relates to the topic indirectly! I don't get it.

The only reason I can think of for this forum's existance is that bmilder saved it for a friend who was into it. I remember reading a thank you on the Tolkien Trail about that.

EDIT: Plus, this forum is a vehicle for Twista's spam! :D

hahaha silllly.

scroll to bottom of page and click "view posts from beginning"

there are 3 pages worth of topics, many more than 5 lol.

I believe there was announced that a musical version of lotr was coming out - thus it beat Hama's before he could finish his. That was just my take on it.

Oh yeah. :o Well, it's not that active. Is this thread about Hama's one or the one that came out before his?

Actually, I had a musical based on LotR in development first. I even had a completed (well relatively completed script) which has been available here for quite some time. However, there is now supposedly a musical production coming to the West End next winter. There is some information available thelordoftheringsmusical.com They had put together the financing and as I was not in a position financially to excercize my option on the property it reverted back to Tolkien Enterprises and Paul Zaentz, Inc.

Then Twista...you think wrong...When I tried to post a reply my previous registration was not in effect. Why? I don't know. So I re-registered using Hamaone.

Twista, I do not know why you have such feelings of hostility towards this forum but I hope the ability to post and talk through your anger is helpful and therapeutic for you. When the West End production of Lord of the Rings Musical was announced, I posted that I hoped that this could become a forum for discussion of that musical until they got a forum up and running. I still hope that. Unfortunately since they have not updated their website since the intitial announcement back in October of 2003 it has given us little to talk about.

However, if you would like to read the script and lyrics posted on TolkienTrail I and others here would be more than happy to discuss them further.

Hello. Just dropped into this forum for a visit. On a brief search I found a site with some info from last year which seems to indicate a Ring musical is well in hand for production next year.

If in London I'd probably go see it. The best production Ive seen so far was the classic "Mousetrap", in a gem of a theater (okay, theatre)!

The official website for the production you mentioned is at www.thelordoftheringsmusical.com. It was bios on the creative team and downloads, However it has not been updated since October so I don't know what the current status of the production is.

Wow, that looks great. And the music in the trailer is amazing. It'll be well worth a trip down the country. Spring 2005, I'll save up.

And your script looks great as well, hama.:)
