O-ho-ho :p a villain rating! How many levels was it possible to reach?

On a rating like that I would say the purpose and cause of a deed is equally relevant as the consequences. And good qualities should count as well as the bad. Then I think Fëanor should be much better off compared to Sauron.

Hmmm. How high does that scale go?

Finrod is boooooring. I'm more into the fierce type.

VERY true. I mean what exactly would you do with Fnrod? Let's sing sone praising Manwe, the epitome of infalibility! woo-hooo!

Plus I bet Feanor was better at err...the begetting. ;)

And which of the two would you prefer to have guarding your back?
Now that is a sobering thought, you might have to worry about other than an orcs sword if you choose wrong.

Hmmm. How high does that scale go? Six was the highest. "Legendary" was the description, and that was the rating that Sauron and Morgoth got. Feanor, now that I have checked, finished as a five, "undisputed master."

No way. He's not even in the same league as Sauron. He didn't will the destruction of Middle Earth, nor did he desire to enforce his rule upon the Free Peoples of ME; okay so he was a selfish prick, but c'mon we're talking the Silmarils here - something even the Valar didn't accomplish. What were the other ratings? I'd think he's suit a 3, or a 4 better.

No, that was why he ended up a full Level below Sauron (and Morgoth!) The ratings were (tip o' the casque to Afro-Elf!):

1--Basic training
2--Professional competency
3--Outstanding skill
4--Superior
5--Undisputed master
6--Legendary

I think that someone who was responsible for the Kinslaying and the stranding of Fingolfin's host deserves better than a "superior."
