My friend asked me this the other day and I wasn't sure, can any one help me?

How many female jedi are there?

if you go to the offical site i BELIEVE that list the council members and their sex

off hand I can only thing of two yaddle and ada gallia

you might wanna do a general search on jedi council members

well there are those 3 (?) council members. Then there are a lot more other female jedi. Like there is Mara Jade, Jaina Solo, Leia Organa Solo, and literally dozens more from the expanded universe alone.

I think I've read somewhere that Darth Maul was at first supposed to be a Sith Witch but that the ideas was abandonned after the sketches came out too scary. Can anyone confirm that?

I think it might have been Count Dooku who was originaly a sith witch, but definately one of them.

Yeah thats right EƤrniel,

It was in the EP1 book of the film with all the pictures and early sketch's. He did look pretty freaky!

The number of felame jedi was approximately equivilent to the number of females in a species.

I'm sure there were also life forms with multiple sexes or asexual reproduction.
