View Full Version : Thirteen Days delayed because of the trailer?

Seems like nobody can figure out just why Thirteen Days is being delayed - the "avoiding the Christmas rush" explanation New Line has given holds no water, since the new date is plopped right by the wide release of Traffic, which is already (by the advance hype from preview screenings) an Oscar front-runner.

Perhaps the reason why this is being delayed - if it's at all plausible to delay a film just because of a trailer that's going to be attached to it - is because they want to give Peter Jackson more time to edit together the LOTR trailer... which will be well worth it, methinks...

But it's not just any trailer, is it? Its the trailer for the film that could single handedly make or break New Line Cinema. I'd put off releasing a film for that.

you're right, of course. but it's still an unusual idea.
