The official LOTR Poster hits theatres. I can't seem to source the image to show you guys, but you can get a look at it HERE

I'm rather impressed actually. Nicely done.

I definitely like it. The tone that it sets is brilliant... and its effect is striking, yet simple, with nothing but "One Ring To Rule Them All" on it. I'm going to buy one if I can...

Intriguing poster! Yes, it has a simplistic intensity to it. I like it. Sometimes simplicity is best and gets the point across better. "Striking" is a good word to describe it. IP: if you know where you can buy one, let us know. Cool! I`m excited! FH: Nice site. I`m enjoying perusing your stuff. I see you have a preview up for Pearl Harbor. I`ve seen the trailer numerous times in the theater. Awesome trailer! I liked your line about thinking about war and how it really was instead of the way Hollywood paints it to be. (I`m paraphrasing there - can`t remember your exact words). Hollywood does tend to glorify it. I`m looking forward to the movie, though. Some of those shots in the trailer are intense!

definently Galadriel. If nothing else I must admit the Pearl Harbor cinematography is GORGEOUS!! Glad you liked my site.

Simple but powerful. Perfect for a teaser. Gets your attention right on Frodo and the Ring.

Notice the effect - and the irony - in how the Ring, a weapon of darkness, is actually depicted the source of light in the teaser poster...

It's very effective, I think. Look at the glow on Frodo's face.

As Isildur said, it was the only creation of Sauron that was fair.

I'm sorry, but I don't like it. Frodo looks like he is from Planet of the Apes. :(

When was the last time you saw Planet of the Apes? The makeup in the original wasn't THAT unmonkeylike

About a month ago. I'm just saying that that is what it reminds me of. Squint your eyes. ;) Just look at the contrast between darkness of his hair and the lightness of his face....especially the shape of his face with that contrast.

It's a bit of a stretch... :p

 it's true. he seems that ol' ape-gal :)

btw, i think TPM's posters were much better than this one. i only hope this trilogy won't be as disappointing as TPM.

Thumbs up to the poster. It's not the best movie poster I've seen but one of the better ones. Also, ditto about buying the poster. If any one knows where you can get these please speak up! :) I would really like to get one for my sister.

I think the poster says volumes to those of us who have read and love The Lord of the Rings. But I think it says next to nothing to the uninitiated. Oh! It does say one thing: "Elijah Wood is in this move." Let's hope they release a more informative poster this Summer.
