I highly recommend Panic Room. The theater was dead quiet during the entire movie. The cinematography was great and the acting was great. Extremely suspenseful.

Plot wise, it was an excellent movie, although I agree, not one of Jodie Foster's best. Not to mention there was an awful lot of language in it; it could have been just as good without all the four letter words. :(
But, as a thriller it was excellent, and the screenwriting was good.:D

Perhaps somewhat forgettable (I probably wouldn't see it a second time), but still a very exciting and entertaining thriller that was far more than the usual cookie-cutter cliché mold we often see in the multiplexes. Well worth two hours and a full-price ticket. The real highlight was how Fincher's dynamic visual style really lended itself to the atmosphere of the film...
Full review coming soon.

I thought it was ok until the ending which was way too complicated and silly. I think if you hit somebody in the head withg a sledgehammer and knock them down a flight of stairs, they should stay down.

Cirdan, I read your spoiler because I'm not likely to see the movie. I definitely agree with your logic there.
There's been quite a bit of discussion about this movie in a couple of my diabetes magazines and at a diabetes discussion board I go to a lot. Many people who have diabetes believe the movie is very misleading in the way it portrays the disease and how it is treated. Of course, the movie isn't really about diabetes, is it?! :)

I liked the film! I wasn't expecting it to be like what it was and I found myself rooting for the guy to get away with it. Varda, can you explain what you meant please? I don't understand... :)

Well when a diabetics sugar goes low they can go unconcious!
To bring them back round u have to give them sugar!! When u give it them you have to sit them up right and talk to them as they are comming around!! and slowly!! You have to give them sugar and bring them round quickly but calmly!
She just jabbed a needle in her and injected loads of sugar into her which would have brought her round really quickly!! And she might have gone into shock! that's just working off what i know!
But then again it's just a film and they did have three people trapping them in the house!!

When that guy got his hand stuck I felt ill. Whe he gets free again he pickes something up - are they his fingers because when i saw it I thought that they were?

I don't know actually!
It was quite funny when you saw his hand stuck! I have never seen you react like that before!

I have a pretty strong stomach when it comes to things like that, but there is something about eyes (getting torn out, poked out etc) and trapping fingers that makes me feel so ill...
