I've had that Alanis Morissette song "Hands Clean" stuck in my head for a few days now. I was singing it ther other day in a pretty public place and someone gave me weird looks - I found that quite amusing :p But I'm starting to wonder about the lyrics: anyone else doing the same?

From what I can understand of the lyrics ( not having read them),
my take on it is - young, nubile ingenue falls for older, mature mentor and they have an illicit affair. He will inevitably tire of her,as she is young enough to change, and her novelty wears off.
there are some wickedly cynical lyrics - something about " I might even marry you if you keep your face and your body toned" ( he says to her, of course) The tune is catchy and it does tend to stick with you, once heard.

The only part I could make out was the bridge and chorus:
Ooh, this could be messy
But you don't seem to mind
Ooh, don't go telling everybody
And overlook this supposed crime
We'll fast forward to a few years later
No one knows except the both of us
And I have honored your request for silence
And you've washed your hands clean of this
But I just found the lyrics here (http://www.azlyrics.com/lyrics/alanismorissette/handsclean.html).

I was just listening to that song on mp3.com. :) Alanis Morisette is great, I wish I had one of her CDs.
