I (alas) suffer from Tolkein-inflicted insanity. The one of its myriad of symptoms that I feel most at the moment is an uncanny urge to bunny-hop everywhere. Does anyone else have any Tolkein-inflicted diseases?:D

This belongs in the "I Need Help" forum...

I made a thread in the General Messages forum entitled that very same thing at 4:10 in the morning. Some one closed it, though. It was inevitable; I just made jokes about how I wanted to moderate the "Entmoot Archive" forum. Only Emplynx replied by saying "You need help."

Oh, yeah... Tolkien-inflicted insanity... I don't think I've ever had the desire to bunny-hop anywhere, but I do read Tolkien into the wee hours of the night. We also have an apartment (I live with my brother and two of my cousins in a student apartment) joke that involves blaming everything that goes wrong on this unseen hobbit.

It all started when we gathered together to discuss the dish situation. We had a lovely stack of dirty dishes and every one of my roommates said "I do all of my dishes." When it got to me, one could only hypothesize that I dirtied all those dishes, which I knew was not true. Therefore, after I washed the dishes, we shifted the blame to a hobbit. I think his name's Bungo and he also makes the faucet drip at night.

I suppose that's one veritable symptom... hallucinating about hobbits...

Another symptom is to go tearing around in the woods searching for Rivendell. If you have a severe case (like I do) you actually find Rivendell.

The bunny-hop urge is gone. now I'm constantly saying everything twice.
