Sounds like a real advertising ploy. If I comes out at the end of FOTR - I'll see the movie again so I can see the trailer.

The amount of praising that Jackson is getting for this movie is starting to make me sick. Sorry - had to say it.

Can you blush? I dont think it's THAT unobvious is it?Maybe they'll have Cirith Ungol at the end of the movie. Honestly I'm NOT looking foward to that little bit thank you VERY much.
Awww Jerseydevil, PJ did a better job then some movies I've seen. Honestly I could FREAK during The Hanna-Barbera Hobbit and the back of the Hanna-Barbara Return of the King is just FREAKY lookin. I dont know what it is with Hobbits and big noses but it seems that Barbera likes to substitue watermelons or turnips for the hobbits noses and hav eyou seen the Ralph Bashkis Sam? WHOAAAA. I dont see how he can turn around without knocking anybody down. I swear.

elijah rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i don't like the way that that guy neva mentioned legolas.

Comic Book Guy

Elijah Wood has aged which is impossible to believe but true, he looks like he's disintegrating before your eyes.

Oh my, I'm now imagining a Gollum-Frodo!!!AARRRRGGGHHH!!!! I mean, he would look weary, which is reaonable, but I don't think aged to the point of disintegrating!!!That's Gollum!!!!(unless it's just an exaggeration)

Wonder if the DVD will come with the TT trailer.

They have to show Froido getting weary and haggard the closer they get to Mt Doom. The Ring gets heavier the closer they get to completing the quest. Several times Frodo collapses and tells Sam that he can't go on.

Elijah will look drawn out and most likely "aged" the closer they get to Mt Doom.

"PageSix.com spoke with New Line distribution president David Tuckerman on Sunday, and he confirmed that there are plans to give viewers an early cinematic taste of The Two Towers. More than a mere trailer, however, the plans call for additional footage to be added to the end of Fellowship.
"New Line, Tuckerman said, is planning 'at some point in time to add (additional footage at the end of Rings that) will be a lot longer than a trailer, but I don't know how much longer. We're going to give (moviegoers) a preview of (the second episode of Rings). We're going to change the last reel out and do a preview of Two at the end of the last reel. (People) are screaming for it.'"
When asked when this preview could be expected, Tuckerman said it would be after the Oscar awards had been voted for and the ballots completed.

A lot of New Line Cinema's marketing plans depend a lot on whether or not The Fellowship of the Ring gets the Oscar awards they're hoping for. Winning any of the big categories would help, but if they can get lucky enough to snag the "Best Picture" nod, Tolkien fans can count on an extended theatrical run with lots of bonuses."

Here Is the latest info about the trailer to be added on to FotR.
quote: "We're going to be in the low $290 millions before we get to Oscar weekend," New Line's David Tuckerman said. "Just hype alone should get us to $300 million. We're going back in the marketplace on Mar. 22 and then on Mar. 29--we've just revised our plan--we're going to add (something special at the conclusion of the film).

quote:Peter Jackson has made a four minute preview--not a trailer--of (the next film in the Rings trilogy) The Two Towers (opening this December). He basically did it as a thank you to the fans. So we're going to switch out the last reel for Friday, Mar. 29. On Mar. 22 we're going to do a big push to get back into the theaters. I hope to get back to (around) 2,000. So we'll get ourselves through that weekend. If we win, that's great. If we don't win, we have a thank you for the fans on Mar. 29 (that will continue to play) until it leaves theaters."

I know were I will be on Friday, March 29th...how about you?

I had posted this in the TTT Redux thread but maybe it's better here.;)

My LotR fan mates and me have seen a screenshot of TTT of Frodo with some tall dudes behind him. He looks way old, hate to say this Eowyn, but that ring sure looks heavy!
We also saw another one which looks like Aragorn at Helm's Deep. Man is he ready for action. And it's all raining and he's all fit and... NO STOP!
Well, we were just imagaining that Gimli, Legolas and Aragorn were standing on the top of the wall singing,
"LET'S GET READY TO RUUUUUMBLE!!!"
I thought that was way funny.
Can you picture that too???
Now you see what I mean!

Also, another little piece of advice.
If you are relying on reports of the trailer and cannot wait for the 29th, why not get it off Morpheus?
It is so easy, though with my standard connection it would take a week to download, but if you had broadband it would only take about a day and you could enjoy it whenever you wanted!
Just a suggestion, but if you are really that desperate, it might be worth looking into.
IT IS THERE!
SEARCH UNDER LORD OF THE RINGS!

They were MY pictures and it was MY idea Rosie!!!!!!!

But it is a very funny image.

You know. All of them doing a little shimmy dance.

Oh and Rosie I hvae looked at that picture of frodo with the tall guys many times. He doesnt look a day over twenty its just that he's very muddy and you would be too if you had Smeagol as a guide so i suggest you ask me to show u the picture again so you can indeed see that Frodo doesn't look old.

I got this bit from Imladris.net.
New Line has confirmed that the special Towers trailer will be three-and-a-half minutes in length. The footage will be tacked onto the end of Fellowship of the Ring, which is still playing in most venues. Director Peter Jackson himself was responsible for choosing and editing the footage that will give audiences a taste of this December's release. "I went through finished F/X shots and plucked the ones that looked really good," Jackson told EW.

Cool. Can't wait.

Well, it is March 22, and I've purchased my ticket already for the first showing of LotR with the new Two Towers trailer. RIGHT?????? It IS today, ISN'T IT?????

I kept seeing the date "March 22" over and over again, figured there might be a news release along with the release of the trailer, and I can't find anything so far. Oh well, if they do have the trailer I will certainly post a review.....with limited spoilage!

Ah mon ami, not until friday the 29th. Today (I think) they are launching an effort to get the movie back into more theaters. Which is why I think so many oscar contenders wait towards the end of the year for their release. Keeps the box office draw up (especially if it wins) and maintanes freshness in the academy voters minds.

Ah, so now henceforth my viewings of "Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring" wihtout the trailer for the Two Towers will be known through the ages as "The Nine".
