A LONG-EXPECTED PARTY

Well, I finally got around to it. I think it was Eruve who requested this passage from the chapter of the same name.

It takes up with Bilbo greeting guests at his eleventy-first birthday party and ends with a bang!

This is a one-rehersal-one-take reading, I'm afraid, and there is one good bobble and an occassional over-modulation.

It is in the RealAudio format and I am not a technician! You can download a free player from these folks. I recorded it at a rather low compression rate. It is more than 15 minutes long, and about 1 meg even so. This also makes the streaming more convenient for those with less than cutting edge computers.

If you like this recording well enough, perhaps it will find a place in Rivendell on the Tolkien Trail!
