View Full Version : A KNIFE IN THE DARK

The recent thread asking "Who's afraid of the Nazgul?" inspired this latest effort.

My computer, connection, etc. are so last century that I can't guarantee great technical quality. Can't spend money to do better yet, this is just for my own kicks and your enjoyment. (At least until December!)

My Aragorn is starting to sound less like Richard Burton and more like Obi Wan Kenobi.

I forgot to put a spoiler warning on my last thread, but on the Rivendell page of the Tolkien Trail there is one and at my little webpage, there is also one.

But amazing as it seems, there are folk on this Tolkien discussion board who haven't read LORD OF THE RINGS. If you are one of those people, let me firstly encourage you to read it, and secondly discourage you from listening to these little readings until you do!

It's a one meg-ish RealAudio file that should start streaming immediately (or so).

Great! I've put this one up too. Another very good reading :)

Also up on TT today are four new MP3s and Part 6 of A Hobbit's Tale. Feel free to check those out too along with Gil's reading.

greetings mooters,
sorry to kind of barge in , but I have recently been accused of all things , of being Gilthalion!
Any idea how this strangeness could have come about?

feel free to reply privately or here or prob. best, at the barrowdowns "oh,by the way the ...polls" thread in the books forum. Hope it is not an inconvience.

Wow! I'm going to have to check out the Barrow Downs again! I don't think I ever posted there...

If they pass compliments like that out to folks, it must be a wonderful group of people!

stop on by email me if you need better directions , Supposedly the whole thing came up at Planet Tolkien where the admin[?] confirmed that we were one and the same. I heard about it through one, Lorien Wanderer there. Be prepared for a weee bit o' fon w/ your pers. photo.
[and a spoof on my signature].

Sorry to interrupt, but...I have finally listened to all your readings (some, several times), Gil, and really liked them! Well done!

Thanks for listening!

Meanwhile, if Lindil could direct me to some of the posts where there has been identity confusion (or personal photo envy!) I'd be happy to help straighten matters out.
