Anyone seen it? Funny as hell. It's about three escaped convicts and their journey to nowhere...well, that's what the case said...:D Anyway, it's really good, so if you haven't seen it, you should.

Momma says you ain't our daddy no more, on account of you was hit by that train.
That movie was based on homer's the odyssey. Scary how similar it is, and how good they can make the most boring book on the planet, isn't it? I dig that one song the floppy bottom boys sing that makes them famous :) (yes, i know they're really soggy)

I've listened to that soundtrack way too many times. I hated any form of country music before seeing that movie, aquaiting it all with the current brand of country pop that pollutes the radio these days. Now I know different!

That is because Bluegrass is the root of country music. Here in louisville we have a radio program (on NPR) call "Roots and Boots". If you listened to it just once you would have a completely different view of country music. What you don't like (and neither do I) is basically country POP. Listen to some Johnny Cash, Patsy Cline, Hank Williams, Jr., or Lorretta Lynn and then tell me if you like country.

Good enough for me! I'll check it out sometime soon.
soggy bottom boys' song 'i am a man of constant sorrow' is nominated for a grammy! I think the album is nominated for album of the year, actually. How corny, just goes to show everyone gets a grammy :)

Well DUH! Haven't you ever noticed how redundant I am? :D

I think technically Dan Tyminski will get the Grammy, but I could be wrong. Maybe they will give it to the Soggy Bottom Boys....weird.

I loved this movie. Those Coen Brothers are geniuses.
I didn't even realize it was based on the Odyssey until the second time I watched it. That made it even better, because then I could watch and see that the one-eyed Bible salesman was the Cyclops, the three women were Sirens, and I even caught the main character's name -- Ulysses (Roman name for Odysseus). I love movies like that where you can watch them more than once and they get better the more you watch them.
