I mean how do you picture events, places, people, and things in LOTR? Like that one part in "the battle of the Pellenor Feilds"when Aragorn is coming in the ships, the flag unfurls in the wind and the hosts of Sauron are filled with dread.
The men of Gondor and Rohan are fighting without hope,Eomer has tears in his eyes and yet he has no time to weep for his sister and uncle for he has troops to lead to the last finally blow.Suddenly a cry is taken up by the warriors full of terror they see a great Black ship coming around the bend. The orcs cry out in joy but suddenly their cries turn to terror as the cries of the men take up hope and joy for there in place of a serpent banner is a banner with a great white tree on a black feild above it is a crown sparkling with the elvish jewels that the princess of Rivendell so lovingly wove into it.I would add more but I have to go.

Napster is dead at this point. It's almost impossible to get anything anymore.

I have worked hard to keep my mind's images of the Lord of the Rings in this post-movie era. So far I have been rather successful for that which I had imagined while reading the books are pretty well burned into my mind. The ship and the banner has always been one of my favorite. Add to it the breeze from the ocean filling the sails...

Here's to the Mind's eye!
