I have finished book one in nine days (exactly the day from christmas i started reading it til now). Really blew my mind at the last, and so is the starting chapter of book two. Gandalf is back, and if I'm not mistaken, I'm pretty sure Gloin and Bilbo come back.
This is starting to get a whole lot more exciting! (not that it wasn't before...)

Good job! Have fun with the Two Towers. Return of the King is by FAR the greatest of the three! It's the absolute coolest! (I'm not helping, am I?) Bilbo is mentioned once or twice more, I think, but I don't think you'll see Gloin anymore. I can't remember.
