star trek and LOTR

on another thread there was talk of star trek

using ONLY the LOTR

who would crew your ship? AND why

capt gandalf who would not follow him? experience, leadership, knows when to run and when to fight, intelligence and foresight

1st officer elrond (see above) plus healing skills

science again Elrond sort of like spock science/1st officer this guy is a warrior, loremaster and a healer

helm aragorn only gandalf has travelled more ( maybe)

security/tactical ( glorfindel ) this guy was a lord/capt in gondolin and killed a balrog and lead a force against angmar and prophecised the witch-kings fall


communications bilbo he likes languages/ and can be sneaky( deceptive) when need be which can be useful for those cryptic messages


medical the BEST healers seem to be elrond, glorfindel, and aragorn maybe if they gave ioreth elrond's ring and trained her she could be ( curious what would happen to a human using the ring) but this is a an altered world any way


engineering cirdan the shipwright this dude been building ships longer than any being in ME

Captain - Gandalf, as above

1st Officer - aragorn, faithfull, trusting and trustworthy

helm - gollum, he could stear you well.. right untill he guides you into a fleet of jem haddar in an attampt to win back his "precious"

security cheif - tom bombadil, hey dont let the rosy red cheeks fool you, this guy could punch holes thru diamond walls, also like worf, he would be somewhat of an enigma to his crew mates (as he is to us all)

ships councillor - gladriel, empathetic and georgous, id have no trouble spilling my woes to her.

transpoter chief - shadowfax, one them hoofs got used to the consol, he could get you anywhere faster then anything (like he does with gandalf)

10 forward - pippin and merry, had a hard day at work, pop down to ten forward and drink some romulan ale and smoke some weed with pip and merry, always a barrel of laughs and always curious about the "information" of your day, pippin expecially likes the long winded "gimli-esk" descriptions of you day in a jefferys toob re-routing power couplings..

ships communicator - treebeard, whats better to get rid of those pesky ferengi hails then ol fangorn on the mic spouting his long winded ent speak and admonishing them for speaking so "hasty"
