Wow, we have quite an international crowd! If I can pic a second favorite minor character it's Fangorn.

I like Fangorn too. He(well, all the ents, really)have a smooth take on life. They seem to go out of their way to avoid bothering other races and they just want to let everybody get along if everyone else will extend them the same courtesy. I really like that philosophy. I think that the world could take a hint from that.

Favorite Book: Hmm I really loved all three but if I have to pick one I will say Two Towers

Favorite Main Character: Sam I love him, Rosie is a lucky girl let me tell you. Of all the characters stories I found Aragorn's the most intriuging.


Favorite Minor Character: Well I am going to have to say Eowyn and Gollum.

*Characters are the hardest for me to pick a favorite only because I really loved so many. I think the characters (along with the different types of races) were my favorite part of the LOTR. Even the minor characters were special to me. It was great to see how the characters changed throughout the course of the book.

Saruman. Saruman is a very sad character for me. He was of such a high order and he fell so far, it's very sad. Some are amused when 'he got his' in the end. All well and good, but I always feel pity for him. I always vainly root for him in the Voice of Saruman - to repent, to cast down his staff of pride and accept the chance given to him. He was too far gone though, too afraid and foolish - and too bound by that terrible menace through the Stone.

Fredegar Bolger! Don't ask me who he is, others have paid for that! You might ask me why I choose him though. I don't know. I just really like him.

7) Favourite M.e. place
I think I've said in the past the part of the Lord of the Rings that moves me the most is the time spent by 'the Hobbits' (as those four are commonly called) in the house of Tom Bombadil. It's such a nice, peaceful, wonderful place. The Master and the River-daughter, fair Goldberry and the merry fellow. They and their home are absolutely enchanting.

If the intention of 'device' can be twisted to mean 'emblem' (or emblems) I really like Durin's seen on the West-gate of Moria. Otherwise I don't really have one. I'm rather obsessed with Durin.

I can't say for sure, but The Fellowship of the Ring. I loved A Journey in the Dark and The Bridge of Khazad-Dum. Those chapters made me laugh, cry and left me terrified (I LOVE books that do that!)
