As annoying as Mr. Voice is, and despite the incredibly corny simplification of the story for newcomers, that was definately worth watching just for the short clip at the end! Oh man, that was awesome! The cave troll looks SO incredible, so much better then anything in TPM! I'm so excited!

What was there in that short clip? That close-up of the troll surprising Frodo from the otherside of the pillar in Moria? I know, it looks wonderful. I can't wait to see Gollum.

The clip went from right after "Fool of a Took" (we didn't get to here that classic line) to when the Cave Troll swings his club at Sam. It was awesome.

Oh, but that's in the trailer. I was talking about the shot where the troll gets to sneak behind the exhausted Frodo leaning against a pillar in Moria. The troll jumps out and lets out a loud roar. I was scared just watching it on my Mac and through a lousy Quicktime resolution. You can catch it in one of the TV-spots.

Ya I know. A lot of the scene they showed is in the full length trailer, but there was a lot we haven't scene or heard, like Gimli's very non-movieish line "Let them Come! There is one dwarf yet in Moria who still draws blood!" Or Sean Beans annoyed delivary of "They have a cave troll." Really awesome.

Speaking of not hearing classic lines do you think Peter Jackson will leave some of them out?

I strongly doubt he'll include Legolas' 10 year old girl "Aigh! Aigh! Aigh!" when he sees Durin's Bane ( One of my favourite parts of the story! )

AICN's posted an extremely low-quality clip of the Moria clip on Fox.

My only complaint is the fuzzy and dim lighting, but that's not due to the film itself, it's due to the MPEG clip. We already know from the trailers that the cinematography in that sequence is not something we need to worry about.

the FOX special was good, but yes, The Voice was pretty non-Tolkienish. loved the Moria clip! and after the mini-interview with Cate Blanchett, i had to call my mother (a LotR fan, also watching) & tease her about her, um, disapproval of my supergluing my ears into elf-points.

Viggo cutting a birthday cake w/Anduril... Orlando with a very un-Legolas-like mohawk jumping out of a plane... certain 4 people play-stabbing each other in sword practice... hehehe...

and that one great PO'd line - "they have a cave troll" - great!
