Has anyone read the book Dune by Frank Herbert and the entire Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan?

Wheel of Time is up there with LOTR for me, and I just finished Dune. I liked it. I saw a bunch of simliarities, and I was wondering if anyone else noticed..?

Bene Gesserit and Aes Sedai

Paul Atreides and Rand al'Thor

Kwisatz Haderach/Lisan Al-Gaib and the Dragon/He Who Comes With the Dawn/the Coramoor(sp)

Other little things: Shai'tan is the name for the Evil Dude in both.
Both have an old language referred to as the 'Old Tongue.'

I may be grasping for straws on that last one, but still...Am I crazy or does it kind of match up!?

{For anyone who doesn't know, Dune is the first book in a series of 5 or 6 sci-fi books. WoT is a series of 9(so far) fantasy books.(Subliminal message~ rEaD tHeM!!!)}

So it's basically that Herbert was ripped off with Wheel of Time. ;)

Not to mention there are similarities between Star Wars and Dune. There are probably other books out there that were influenced by Dune also.

Forget not that the Fremen were Zensunni in belief ( a Buddhist Islamic mix) and Shaitan is just the Arabic word for satan.
