Daz, I don't think anyone's going to do the assignment for you. I'm willing to help..but...not to write it for you...Unless there's money involved....j/k...(I'm not into prostitution)
What's your quote?

im not askin for someone to do it, if any one already done the essay than if the can let me use it, here are some quotes
1. From the ashes a fire shall be woken,
A light from the shadows shall spring;
Renewed shall be blade that was broken:
The crownless again shall be king.
From the ashes a fire shall be woken,
A light from the shadows shall spring;
Renewed shall be blade that was broken:
The crownless again shall be king.

2. Three Rings for the Elven-kings under the sky,
Seven for the Dwarf-lords in their halls of stone,
Nine for Mortal Men doomed to die,
One for the Dark Lord on his dark throne
In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie.
One Ring to rule them, One Ring to find them,
One Ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them
In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie.

3. A star was bound upon her brows,
A light was on her hair
As sun upon the golden boughs
In Lórien the fair.

4. For still there are so many things
that I have never seen:
in every wood in every spring
there is a different green.

Ok, but that only helps us a little. What exactly are you supposed to do with them?

1. About Aragorn...is that the poem/song Boromir brings to the council? No, that one had something to do with Hobbits...

2. Its about the placement of the Rings of Power...

3. Refers to Galadriel

4.Isn't that part of one of Bilbo's poems?

Their significance depends on what you want to say in your essay. What's your thesis?

i havent got the essay topic yet , but the quotes hasnt really got nothing to do with the essay just the signinficance of it or anything else

Unless you can tell us (me) more of what the assignment IS, I can't help you. Talk about the signifcance? In relation to what? The story? A certain character? ELABORATE!

fireworks19, #1 was a poem Bilbo made about Aragorn, it first appears in the LR in Gandalf's Letter (Strider), Aragorn repeats it in the same chapter, and it is uttered by Bilbo once more in the Council of Elrond, in annoyance for his friend's behalf; Boromir doubted him. #3 doesn't refer to Galadriel, but Nimrodel. It's sung by Legolas in Lóthlorien. #4 is indeed from one of Bilbo's songs, sung softly by him in his private room when Frodo was going away. I think it occurs in the beginning of The Ring Goes South (the chapter, not the Book).

It seems to me, Daz, that you do indeed need an essay topic to say anything of the significance of those lines. We could tell you who says them, when, why and what we think they mean in all sorts of different senses, but all that would be completely useless without a topic. You'd just be talking about four passages for no very apparent reason.
