this month is TP's what's next issue and they're talking to the stars of upcoming movies among them are the kid that plays Harry Potter, and our favorite little Baggins, Elijah Wood
All it is is a little box and in it he says that when something weird would happen on set they'd be all "It's the ring! It's the power!"
I got a good laugh out of it and I just decided to share

Sounds like something that would happen there, I've read some cute stories about the set people and cast that're just funny to read, some actors trying to steal the Ring, the Hobbits feet flying off during a chase scene etc. Sounds like they had alot of fun just goofing off and all that.

Well, that sounds like a good portent.

LOL, dont worry Wayfarer, if it's dumb we can quote it like we do Montey Python and the holy grail if not well I'll be happy. I saw the teen people thingimabob but I could NOT find for the life of me that little box you talked about, instead there was this article on different movie star slang words and Elijah Woods was(Direct quote)"Bobies- it means Take a Nap in Elven" Cute :o . Hapira do you remeber the page number the box you mentioned is on?

I had heard that the nine members of the fellowship had all gotten a tattoo in tengwar script meaning "the nine" or something like that.

I think it was just a rumor Anduin, I have seen a picture of Dominic with a tattoo on his arm but he's in the background and I could'nt see it that well, it might have been just any old tattoo. I'm going to have to find some pictures of the hobbits or something like that and see if it's true. But I just dont see tattoos on the fellowship for some reason. :/

Not a rumor. Wood showed his on Letterman. So at least one of them got it....and what would be the point of only one of them getting a tat that says, "the nine"?
For a long time I have been planning on getting the ring inscription tattooed around my ankle, but then Inoldonil (I think) thought it strange that I would get the "black speech" tattooed anywhere on my body, so now I have been hesitant. What do you all think?

Well, Sir Ian admitted it last month in an interview..

Yah...I read in interviews that they all got the tattoo's!!! Orlando got his on his arm cause he is an archer...Sir Ian was making people pay $70 to see it...(he was in a play and that was the cost of the tickets), Sean Astin's wife and child went with him...and his daughter said something funny....you have to read it!!! I'll see if I can find it!!!:o

That would be funny if it was the Ring. I wonder if the actors ever wonder about that...

I also read that Peter Jackson got a tattoo that is the elvish for "10".
All the fellowship got the elvish 9 tatoos but Gimli, who sent his stunt double instead.

No Elijah Wood didn't show his on Letterman. He just put his hand there and said it hurt when he got it and that he was proud of it. But he didn't show it, though I'm sure he would have if someone had asked him to. Was that the interview where he wore the brown woolen lookin' sweater and where they gabbed about his weird lookin' Burger King action figure with the see through foot? Or was that another? I tend to get my TV interviews mixed up.

No need, I found it. Actually, I found it a few weeks before today; I'd surf the site if I needed a good laugh. Here it is. (http://www.eonline.com/Features/Specials/Lordrings/index.html) The on set interviews are highly recommended, always good for a giggle. Enjoy!

No RB his foot dont glow...I think. At first I couldn't figure out what was with his foot. I saw it on the computer. Mom and I thought he had stepped in a garbage can and couldn't get it off. It was funny.

"It's the ring"? Heck, I'd be saying, "It's Gandalf! It's Gandalf!"

Banazir the Halfwise(btw Banazir is just Goth for Samwise which is just Old English for Halfwise which is middle english for Halfwit which is the modern english for me.)

Gandalf is a wizard -- he does magic. The ring can't do anything but control the one who bares it and drawl Sauron and his minions near it. So if something weird happens, I'd blame it on Gandalf. :D

So I guess if everyone involved in the movie started to get greedy or something, then it would be the ring right?:p

He sure didn't. it was on the Tonight Show! i watched him show it too, but because my tv was grainy, i didn't see what it looked like. i thought it was round, so i made my own tattoo that has nine written in the tengwar, in Quenya, over and over in a little circle. but it turns out the tattoo was one line, and it was just the english word written with the tengwar. I don't remember which site i got it from, so i'll have to show you on my avatar. half a sec...

There you go! Lij's tattoo! now for my question. does anyone know why the 'E' symbol is spelt with a dot under the 'N' symbol and not with a dash like it says in the LOTR appendix? when i saw it, i was like "I must be wrong about something, cause i always thought the dot meant 'I' and i i am rite then his tattoo says "nini". but i must be wrong.

I like your avatar!
Yes, I saw Elijah show his tatoo and there is a picture of Orlando somewhere that shows his on the inside of his right wrist. I heard Ian McKellen's could be seen on his back in an upcoming movie. Anywho... I don't usually like tatoos, but I think it was a cool idea as a bonding thing for the fellowship and I think it looks cool too.

I totally agree. i don't like most tattoos (cause what happens if you get tired of it? why choose something permenant) but as a permenant memento of frendship, especially when they worked on something as big as that, the idea is great.

I completely agree. I don't like the idea of something permanetely stamped on my body, for the same reason. Unless it is something of very special significance.
For them, they are also the origional fellowship to be in the first LOTR movie. They worked so hard and became so close. Some actors says this production has had a big influence on their life.
I think the tatoo is awesome idea.
