Gandalf looks like a smelly old man who gets drunk alot and dosen't wash alot. Or at least that's what he looks like on the comericails on Space(its a TV channel). And in !ndiogo there's a 3 life sized stand up thingee-s of Gandalf(1) and the Hobbits(2) and then there's the annoying posters that say ; "See the movie, read the book". And where I live the movie dosen't come out until December 19 2001!! (My boyfriend's taking me to see it :cool: :p ;) :) )

I think you guys have'nt seen him in the light, he looks fine in the light, and anyway there are several actors in LOTR who are'nt as you'd think them to look and you harp on poor Gandalf. I think we should talk about ALL the cheracters and get a good debate going.

I agree! Gandalf looks great compared to Liv Tyler! I'm not saying she's ugly, but fairest child of the elves?

Anyway, most people aside from the main characters DO see Gandalf as a crazy old medling man.

I'm gonna whine about coles now, they have all these posters and junk and they want to much for unfinished tales and the silmarillion. Gandals DOES look like a homeless guy who mutters and drinks to much and as i said before dosen't wash often! i've seen him several times in the LIGHT and he stills looks like a drunk homeless dude. My boyfriend does agree that he looks like a crazy drunk.....

I'll say it again. Arwen, at least in this pic (http://www.decipher.com/lordoftherings/cardlists/fellowship/large/30arwendaughterofelrond.html) from Decipher's TCG, looks like either an anemic pinhead or a rubber doll.

All the elves look incredibly plain, I think. Not how they should look at all.

Gandalf looks like a drunk sometimes too... In a few of thosepics he looks really bad.

Practicly all the male characters have long hair, except for Frodo & co .in my mind they had short hair not long hair around their shoulders........

I think tolkien mentions Boromir with hair to his shoulders

Does Gandalf get drunk in the Movie? There are ALOT of Chracters in LOTR who need makeovers(Merry,Elrond,and Boromir are the ones that come to mind)I think that Arwen in CERTAIN pictures looks ok but that one picture. Dang.
