This was a very funny movie. A mindless summer movie, but funny nonetheless.

Very funny! My fave part: When the Asian guy (sorry, can't think of his name, haven't seen the movie in a while!) walks up to the bar and says, "Hows eet goeeng, Neegro?" & the guy is white! Ha ha! That movie owns me!

(Minor spoilers ahead — but Rush Hour 2 kind of spoils itself.)
I liked the first Rush Hour, but I wasn't wild about the sequel. Jackie Chan's fights were rather tame compared to those in his earlier movies, and too often, Chris Tucker's character did stuff that was just plain crazy and illogical … even by mindless action movie standards. E.g., antagonizing an entire bar full of Triads, smashing a major gangster's laptop right in front of him, jumping up on a casino craps table to create a diversion, etc.
Jackie Chan is usually great — many of his his Asian-made movies (Legend of Drunken Master, Police Story, and others) are simply phenomenal martial arts flicks, and some of his American stuff has been good, too. I liked Shanghai Noon a lot: not only were Jackie's fight scenes closer to his signature style, but it also starred the hilarious Owen Wilson.
Speaking of Owen Wilson, Bottle Rocket is one of my favorite movies. Everyone needs a friend like Dignan… :)

Yah..
"Asian" themed movies (or any foreign theme stuff) turned weird so that they can satisfy North American audience can sometimes be disappointing. The good stuff isn't in there sometimes and then really unexplicable stuff is put in.
But that movie wasn't all bad. There were some funny parts.
And I agree, Owen Wilson is ALOT easier to watch than Chris Tucker.:)

"That" in my avatar, my friend, is Edward Wong Hau Pepelu Tivrusky IV. Isn't she sweet! :D She's got no parents and no one to name her, so she named herself. We just call her Ed.
For further information, she is a character in an anime (I guess you figured that) called "Cowboy Bebop" and she is cute cute cute! She's my favourite character, but she's kinda strange. :)
