None of the trailer music is from the movie, it's just trailer music. Who's Enya? I hope we don't get some corny pop songs thrown into LOTR!

I doubt Enyas pop music, it did say that the songs are composed by her after all.

You've never heard of Enya? Shame on you! She's pretty famous, and is an incredibly talented artist! Her music is certainly *not* pop music, it's beautiful Celtic-folk-new age type stuff that will be absolutely perfect for the movie. You will not be disappointed.

Check out http://members.aol.com/karina255/enya/home.html for more information about her, as well as www.enya.com (but be warned, the latter has Flash, so if your modem's slow, you might not want to venture it. It's a beautiful site, though, and pretty much worth the wait.)

YAY!!!!! ENYA!!! You will love her Tater! When I got married I walked down the aisle to Enya's Hope Has A Place and the recessional song was also an Enya song. Years ago she wrote a song entitled Lothlorien. Her music is haunting and beautiful. I know in the past she has written plenty of songs for soundtracks.

Oh yeah, if Enya is doing some songs that is great news. I love her stuff. :)

Good news Enya fans, the eighteenth track "May it be" is to be released as a single. I hope the video will show some clips from the movie as well as generate more publicity for the movie.

Last I heard (which was last year), Enya is selling more records world-wide than anyone else save the Beatles. Last I heard the top five artists (in order, I think) are the Beatles, Enya, Lenny Cravits (sp?), the Backstreet Boys and Madonna.

I was kinda hoping the song would be "The Road Goes Ever On" but oh well.

Ok i know this might make some of you puke.
but when i was about 7-8 i wached the cartoon vershen so many times that i can play most of the songs from it.
theres this one song at the begining of it that is really nice and it is "the road goes ever on" and it sounds really good if i do it with an organ sound on my keybord "my burthday present, my preashus" lol (golum golum).

with the orgin sound it sounds so sweet and well.... it makes me feel sort of depresed but in a good way if you know what i mean.

Anyone know where I can get some Enya MP3's so I can find out why everyone else is excited? Maybe I'll find some on this site galadriel's sent me to.

Tater, there are a LOT of sample tracks at the Official Site, which is one of the coolest Flash sites I've seen...

http://www.enya.com

(I've also started listening to some Enya. IP gives it a thumbs up.)

If you would ever come on AIM or ICQ, I would send you all that I have. Or you could download LimeWire (http://download.cnet.com/downloads/0-10214-100-7217234.html?tag=st.dl.10000-103-1.lst-7-3.7217234) (Mac users only :))and find tons of
Enya along with whatever else you can think of. :)

Yup, the official site has some samples. Or you could get mp3s off of Napster clones like winmx or morpheus (both of which you can get from download.com), unless you're opposed to that kind of thing.

Enya? WOO-HOO! and to think that i was getting worried about the music! and to anyone who's worried, Enya is WONDERFUL music for LotR - matches the feeling so well! she's a wonderful composer & a great singer, and if she's doing A&A's theme music i might be able to enjoy the gratutitous romance scenes!

i was watching figure skating recently, on Sat. during an event on ABC Todd Eldredge skated to a beautiful piece called "The Lord of the Rings" - not the de Meij symphony, they didn't give the composer's name (grr). if anyone else saw that, did it have a connection to the movies?

on Old Entmoot we had figure-skating fans - are they still here, i wonder?

diving in among the old threads,

I've decided that I like the Harry Potter soundtrack more than the Lotr soundtrack. Don't get me wrong, I like them both...its just that William's music is better! During Harry Potter the music fits and seperately, it sound great. Its a a great score by itself. It doesn't need the movie to go along with it. For the Lotr movie, the musical scores are fit in perfectly, yes, but seperately...it just sounds ackward imo. Before both movies came out, with the HP soundtrack you could visualize it, you could remember and hum the tunes after hearing it for the first time; where as you have to listen to the lotr soundtrack several times before being able to discern melody, plus it was weird (i still liked it though).....after seeing the movie, the lotr soumndtrack is a better listen then it was before though. Thats just my opinion, don't jump on me :D
