Merp?

Do anyone here plays or has played MERP?

For a very long time I have played a campaign in Beleriand, First Age. It was a great campaign. Pity it ended, but then, everything does.

I haven't actually "played" merp but i have the elves supplement

i did not like the system. but i do like the supplement

I've some things i've down loaded from the net( some are not available on line anymore) that are really great.

i'll try to scan them and post them. may be anywhere from a day to a month before get to it though.

one is a great chart for better representation of of MERP races.

ICE was aiming for races balance but in tolkien's world they are not all made equal

this was one of their last supplements and they mentioned a simipler RPG game called the LOTR game

do you know anything about it?

do you have any of the merp supplements?

I’ve read your posts Afro-elf, I agree that, as a system MERP isn’t very good, I believe it is just an adaptation of another ICE game system; Rolemaster, and the resulting system isn’t very good to represent Tolkien’s world.

Personally I didn’t like the Elves supplement very much, but I have become habituated to the very high standard of MERP supplements (yes, I have several other supplements, and I have read many others).

While MERP system isn’t very good, (as I said), the description each module makes of Tolkien’s world usually is good (if somewhat unorthodox). The best is probably “Gondor, the Land” and Gondor, the People”, (supplements that give a description of the realm of Gondor in fine detail).

About LOTR, I don’t know much about it, except that it is a simpler system that MERP.

if you have nay suplement of MERP that i don't have i'm willing to buy them

i want them all and as they are out of print i have to find them were i can

Sorry Xivigg, I´m more possessive of my MERP supplements that a dragon is of his treasure…

unfortunately I don’t have a scanner so I can’t scan my stuff to you or to Afro- Elf :(
