During the ads on the MTV non-music awards last night, there was a new 30 second clip of FOTR. I haven't seen it yet, but apparently there is a shot of the Sauron in the last alliance.
AICN have two versions, 320X240 5.3mb
http://homepage.mac.com/johnemdall/.Movies/lotr-tv320.mov
and 240X180

Ok, I have just downloaded and watched this clip, I have to say it is fantastic. You have to download this now. I am now going to comment on the clip.
**********************Spoilers Alert********************
There is a fantasic shot of Legolas taking a arrow and shooting it at a group of orcs, which I believe to be the coolest part. Also a shot of Sam in Action, which is also cool. Sadly Arwens in it and Surprise Suprise, shes weilding a sword.

The links work on any comp.
MMmm, mm good! I love this footage, with the exception (of course!) of Arwen. What is that shot of the ring falling towards Frodo? Download it and go through it in slow motion, much better that way. Also, it looks fine at double size

When I click on the links, I get a small icon in the top left of screen. When I try to just find the address...it shows it as Imac, and it says it will not support my OS:mad:
Find it here (http://www.theonering.net/movie/preview/fotr_comm01.html) as well. Right click on..."click here" and select save as...to download.

Ringbearer.....Do you have a Mac?
Tater....I noticed the falling ring too. TOR.N's description of the shot:
The shot of Frodo on the floor with the ring tumbling towards him is in the Prancing Pony in Bree. In this amazing slow-motion shot, the ring "accidentally" lands on the finger of the Hobbit's outstretched hand, after he's fallen from the table. An interesting illustration of the ring's "will."

The people at TORN don't have a short term memory problem by any chance, do they?

Well, that explains the ring....... now about Arwen. I really think that the movies still might still be okay even with a fighting Arwen-but when in the heck would she be fighting in FOTR?

Maybe PJ has a few more disapointments up his sleeve...
Has anybody seen Gollum, he's in the split second shot with Sam and Frodo after Gandalf says "The shadow has risen".
Also is that Lurtz running at the end?

Comicbookguy, yes and yes
Yeah anduin I noticed that too after posting. Though it's a departure from the books, I'm curious to see how it works on film. Even if the story is terrible i'm confident the visuals will blow our minds

olorin, I don't think she'll be fighting in the first movie, but I'm curious myself. From what I've gathered, it seems Arwen will be accompanying Glorfindel on their search for Aragorn and the Hobbits, and it will her horse (and her?) that bear Frodo across the Bruinen, plus we will see her more in Rivendell (but noone's spotted her at the Council, have they?).
And I recently read on the official Lord of the Rings Movies site that Arwen will not be in Rohan or Gondor until the time when she comes there in the books (Book VI or Volume III). So when is she fighting? I don't doubt the 'real' Arwen of Tolkien's writings could have wielded weapon, although according to Laws and Customs Among the Eldar this would diminish her healing powers had she done so often (which is what maybe she should have been portrayed as given a role expansion: a healer).
A battle scene in Lóthlórien, maybe, if she followed the Fellowship there?

I believe that shot is from the flight to the fordes. I don't think Glorfindel goes to find the company in the movie, I think it's just Arwen. All those shots in that are probably from FOTR, since that's what it's advertising. I dont think we've seen anything from any of the other movies in any of the trailers, though we've seen a small number of photos from the other films.

Sad to say, it does ruin a "favorite" part for me if Arwen is leading the horse. It was way cool how Glorfindel (when Frodo hesitated) commanded the horse with the words..."noro lim, noro lim, Asfaloth!"

I don't know Darth, I've heard from at least one reliable person that I remember (here on Entmoot, in fact) that Arwen accompanies Glorfindel and does not replace him. I hope this proves true.
