I've seen it! It was an absolute gut buster! BUT, beware of a J&SB overdose. As Kevin Smith's other films rely on them as a side story, this new movie has them all over the place. Not that that is a bad thing, but you can have too much of a good thing. J&SB are much more effective when they are placed into a movie at just the right time and place. But since this is the last time I will probably ever see them in a movie ever again, I appreciate all that I can get.
***MILD SPOILERS***
Some highlights of the film are Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher's guest appearences, J&SB as babies (Jay had a mouth on him even then and now we know why), a killer lighsaber duel, the meaning of Snoogans, Will Farrell's role (he makes J&SB look like certified geniuses), and Jay's frequent displays of sexual prowess. Snootch!!

Sure it sounds stupid. But I can assure you it is not...well at least it isn't to those who are fans of Kevin Smith. Besides, the movie wasn't made for you, it was made for fans of his movies. :)

Marshall, Will, and Holly,
On a routine expedition,
Met the greatest earthquake ever known.
High on the rapids, it struck their tiny raft, *ahhhh*
And plunged them down a thousand feet below,
To the Land of the Lost,
To the Land of the Lost......

WooHOO!! Jackpot! And I thought I was just gonna win a "Buddy Christ" for my dash!
Incidently, I have a cat, "Baby", that came to me after she was named which I always thought was a cheesy name. But now that you have reminded me about Baby, I can just say she was named after her/him(??). :D

Recently (on my trip up to Jersey for Entmoot 2001) we (hubby and me) couldn't resist a detour to Red Bank, NJ. We went to J&SB's Secret Stash and got some t-shirts and a signed copy of the Dogma screenplay. This store was very cool and had many costumes from their movie under glass hanging on the wall and dressed on maniquins. Mooby was there covered in blood as well as Bartleby's armour with wings shot off. After we paid for our items and I made sure no one was around at the counter (I felt geeky for asking) I asked the clerk (hehe) for directions to the Quick Stop and video store. He pulls out written directions and hands them to me.....I guess I am not the only geek ;)
I thought the store was going to be in Red Bank proper but that was not so. It was at least 20 minutes outside of town and next to nothing in particular. Just a store attached to a video store attached to a tattoo parlor. We go inside and get some drinks so as to not look like tourists. Then go outside and take pictures so that we do look like tourists. :D
The side trip was worth it and something that I had always wanted to do. :)
