How exactly is the correct way to pronounce "bmilder"? This question has bothered Tolkien scholars since before the turn of the century, and it would be proper to lay our minds at rest. Is it BEE-mile-der, bee-MILE-der, buh-MILE-der, Buh-MILL-der, BEE-mill-der, or bee-MILL-der? I always said buh-MILL-der, but I could be wrong...

It's quite funny. Almost every time they anounce Ben's name on the loudspeaker in the morning at school, they pronounce it like mill-der. I always get a kick out of that. Most people think thats how you pronounce it.

ummm no. his name is almost never announced over the loud speaker. I think it once was because he was student of the month. and also some other time it was. and they always pronounce it mill-der

Tristan, you've been in the school less than a year so you wouldn't know. It's usually announced when the names of the people on the Knowledge Masters team are announced. It's annoying that it's announced so much and the administration still doesn't seem to know who I am. Last time we finished the Knowledge Master competition I preceded my name on the list we made with a large statement explaining the pronunciation - and for once, they got it right on the loudspeaker :)

Ya know... Why are people screaming over how to prnounce something? My opinion is bee-MILE-der, after what bmilder said and because you say "b" and then "milder" as in "more mild" and you know how to pronounce it!
