Well, it's only a month until anduin's wedding! So let's all give her a countdown, until that special day when we'll throw the first board wedding party here (and the first I've seen anywhere)!

I'm tempted to suggest we model it after the wedding of Aragorn and Arwen... but...

Hehe...thanks IP! :) And FM, it is funny that you mention bourbon. We have been trying to decided whether or not to have liquor at the reception.....or just beer and wine. It is much cheaper to just serve beer and wine, but we just can't imagine not having a bit a Maker's Mark. So, we're only going to serve beer, wine, and bourbon.....and champagne of course, for the toast. :)

The people here are certainly older than on the other board I visit. Of course, that's not surprising, being a Pokémon (well, sorta) board and all. The oldest member is 22 or so.

Of course the last post was on Feb. 27th and we have had new members since then. I believe that the youngest member is Ben's bro, Captain Tarpols at 11, and the oldest being Michael Martinez at 40.

Well, considering that Fangorn himself is the oldest living creature around, I'd guess the drinking age would be a few hundred years old. But.... considering it's only virtual liquor, so to speak, I suppose we could make an exception. Bourbon for everyone!

Don't worry, anduin, the worst part is the preliminaries, the wedding itself should be a breeze.
Before my wedding, my mother reminded me at least a dozen times that "it still isn't too late, you know".
It'll no doubt be worth all of the stress when it is over, it was for me. Just don't make yourself crazy and you will be ok. :)
If it helps, think to yourself that in a hundred years no one will care.:) And if that doesn't work, console yourself with the fact that any small catastrophes will be funny later. Especially if you get it on film:lol:

Yes, my bachelorette party was Saturday night. It was a bit different than tradtional bachelorette parties, because there were plenty of guys there. And no, they weren't strippers! I would love to go into details of the evening, but it would certainly be inappropriate for Entmoot. All I can say is that I have never laughed so hard....some of the games we played.....oh my!! Well nevermind about that......... ;)

I have to say that my nerves have abated some, it was pretty hairy there for awhile, but everything is finally set and ready to go. I have now started to concentrate on our trip to Amsterdam.....man, we are going to have one helleva good time there!! :) But that too, is not appropriate for Entmoot.... ;)

I'm thinking we'll celebrate tomorrow since I find it unlikely for anduin to come onto the board on the actual day of her wedding, and she'll be gone for her honeymoon afterwards... so should we start the party?

Well, this will probably be my last post until....Sunday. Everything is set and ready except for the final plans of what we are going to do when it rains....which is very likely. Not only rain, but thunderstorms. :( We don'y leave for the honeymoon until Thursday, so I will be online until then, and I will show up from time to time, because A'dam has some cyber cafes. I think that there is access even in our hotel room. :) All I want to do is get through this day and tomorrow, then I will physically feel much better. That is of course until i have to get onto an airplane. :( I will give that story sometime next week, and I will leave last instructions in case the flight isn't a success......until then, wish me luck! :)

One last thing, thank you so much IP for starting this thread and reminding me of how exciting this all is....like a need a reminder. ;) Thanks too, to those that have given me such nice presents....you know who you are.....And finally a big thanks to those who have showed up in the thread to wish me well.....:) All of you are the best!!!

Wow!!! What a great time we had yesterday! Our original wedding plan was completely rained out, so we had to move it indoors.....which turned out cool, cuz the place was beautiful!! Much better than anything we could have planned ourselves.

Thanks everyone! My "new" life really isn't much different than my old life. Don't forget that we have lived together for over 5 years. The only real difference is that I have to have my S.S. card, driver's license, credit cards, etc. changed over to my new name, and pay more taxes. :(
