Got a couple of Oscar nominations for Cinematography, and has had a good buzz..

But I saw it last night and was somewhat underwhelmed. Really Clooney screwed the thing up for me. Gave him all these great lines which he promptly recited like he was reading them off a can. A bit dissapointing, especially since the things he was given to say should have been so full of vigor and zest!

Its definently worth a look Iron, it does have some really nice redeeming qualities... its just not everything I'd heard it was either. If nothing else it would make a GREAT rental.

I really liked this movie. It was very weird in parts but it fit together and worked for me--better the second time than the first though, since I could connect things better. Like the "cyclops" being hit by the flaming cross, and the characters of Pete and Delmar; and all of Ulysses Everett McGill's little quirks and lines. Partly I liked it so much because of the basis of the Odyssey, but it also had lots of neat music and layered meaning.

The whole Odyssey comparsion was really pretty loose though. Most of the time it seemed more an afterthought than an actual part of the film. The whole Siren thing was nice though.

Just saw this movie, and I absolutely loved it. And of course, FilmHobbit didn't, probably never will agree with him on a movie either, just like IP
