What do you mean? There is a woman in the cast so there will be romance? Seems a little thin as argument.

Ah... but the part on 'Kili' says that he is pursuing 'Tauriel'

Maybe THAT'S what gets them kicked into the Elvenking's dungeons!

Oh dear, I think my subconcious made me skip that while reading. I missed that.

That could be why Kili's costume looks somewhat un-dwarvish compared to the others.

But I'm just hoping Aidan Turner is messing with us when he said that. :glance:

I was convinced the article was no more than a gossip about the actress and actor hitch-up...

How awkward if this romance made it to the screen O_O. And how is Tauriel going to react when Kili dies? Find out next time on Total Film Gossip! :D

If they can make it as distant and reverent (sp?) as Gimli's infatuation with Galadriel (in the books especially), it won't be so bad.

It's probably better if it is all a joke, though. Someone said that the actor would not be allowed to give away a major plot point like that before PJ decides to release it. So either he's saying too much, or else he's joking.

What I'm wondering is what happened to the rumors of a Legolas/Tauriel romance. Surely we aren't supposed to believe that Orlando Bloom is supposed to suffer by the wayside while a dwarf makes eyes at an attractive female elf?!

*flails* And here I thought he was just kidding!

(Yes, Eärniel has finally seen the second Hobbit movie, a full year late. So sue me.)

I just laughed so hard reading this thread after watching all three movies. Little did we know what was in store...

I thought the whole love triangle thing was utterly ridiculous in the worst way. I could go on but it would put me into a bad mood first thing in the morning. :)

And we were not only to believe it, but to watch it ...

(I haven't seen the 3rd movie yet, only read spoilers, so I haven't seen the conclusion - can only guess from the spoilers  )
