How should the 3 trolls be depicted? Just like in the book? Or more like in the LOTR movies?

Definitely like in the book- clothed, able to speak- even keep the working-class accents- and with the same names.

I can just see three greenish hairless figures wrapped in fur loincloths hissing and growling at each other until Gandalf steps in with a mighty spell to turn them into stone....

I won't mind if they look like the statues from that one clip in LoTR, but I do like them to be a bit more articulate in The Hobbit. LoTR-trolls are depicted as fairly dumb and appear nearly only as beasts of labour or war. But the scene from The Hobbit will require much more mental functions of Bill and consorts.
