Rise of the Witch King PC Game

Greetings all! I have recently registered to play Rise of the Witch King online, but whenever I try to join a game it tells me a different version is in use (which I don't understand in the slightest! :confused: ) and when I try to create a game, no-one joins it! :(

It would be nice to play against some-one other than the AI for once, plus, it would be more of a challenge! If any-one on here plays the game online and would fancy a match, please let me know. I'd like to have a "Build-Up" Period, where we can both amass a decsent sized army, let them battle it out in the field, THEN try to beat each other!

I believe EA recently shut down the BFME online servers, didn't they? :(

Well, I just double-checked (because you got me doubting myself for a moment. lol), but sadly, I was right. They really did shut them down.

Here's what they had to say at the time:

Fellow adventurers, It is with a heavy heart that we come to you today. After a long time of Middle-Earth mayhem and fun, we are saddened to let you know that the games within this franchise will no longer be available for purchase, and online servers will no longer be active after December 31st 2010 at midnight PST.

We hope you've enjoyed the Battle for Middle-Earth franchise as much as we have.
