I've been a fan of the TV show 'Firefly' since about 2006, and I am wondering if anyone else in this elite band of Tolkien scholars is also a fan, and in addition, if any of you want to talk about it.

I'll start it off.

Firefly is Awesome.

If Firefly weren't already seeing someone I would date it.

I LOVE FIREFLY! :D

Of course I love Firefly! I rewatch it in its entirety at least twice a year!

And I spread the word and love of Firefly wherever I go.

"Curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal!" :D

Yeah, I just re-watched it, which lead to my posting a thread about it. I think it is one of the best tv shows ever, seriously, the characters are all so well written (at least to me they are, I'm no fancy film-critic or anything), the stories are great, and the universe it takes place in is so well fleshed out, its just amazing! Joss Whedon is pretty good, apparently.

Time to re-watch! <3 the theme song! And yes, it is teh AWESOME. My favourite character is a toss-up between the cap'n, and the mech. :D Oh noes! No, sorry, take it back, IT HAS TO BE JAYNE!

My favourite ep is the one where Jayne is worshipped and there's that statue & ****. Also, THE HAT!!

I'm having trouble finding the show on dvd. I'd find it then when I went back its gone. Don't you hate that!

We love the movie it spawned.

It's well past time for a rewatch!

Firefly was glorious! But alas, too short-lived. If anything has convinced me of the incompetence of some of the TV-world execs, it surely was Firefly's cancellation.

Still have to see Serenity, though, but I've got it on DVD, so it's only wanting a night with full control over the TV-set, a drink, a bag of chips, and some like-minded company to watch it with.

I think you'll like Serenity, Earniel. It's shiny. :D

I still can't believe this show got cancelled, actually. If it was longer it'd easily be my favorite SF series - and I'm a fan of a lot of them.

I want to rewatch, too. I'm actually considering buying a second DVD set. (I lent mine to my cousin, who liked it so much he never got around to giving it back  )

I do, however, have 'The Hero of Canton' on my mp3 player.

<3 Simon. <3 <3 <3

I was forced into watching this show by a large contingent of my friends, not thinking I would like it all.

Alas, I love it. :)

HELL YEAH FIREFLY IS AWESOME!!

Ever notice that not one person who's seen it before didn't absolutely love it? Except some ass in a suit working for Fox.

This is probably the only piece of fiction where I can't pick a favorite character. I can hardly bring myself to narrow it down by disregarding the guest stars like Nishka's goons and Badger and the deaf Bounty Hunter. Why is he deaf btw? Because Joss Whedon. :D IDK.

I swear I nearly cried at the end of that episode chronicling how each crew member first met the captain. All the storylines are perfectly amusing, and then, concluding on a wholly fulfilled note --cut to Serenity and fade to black. It was love at first sight for Mal and his beautiful spaceship.
