WARNING! I'm gonna vent. Just a warning beforehand.

Okay, so The Hobbit is supposedly coming out in 2012.
I can't wait that long!
I'll be old by then!
*sobs*
Anyways, I really hope they don't screw it up. I mean, the guy who did Hell Boy is directing it. That scares me....
It's not that those are bad movies but they have a different feel.
And the director of Hell Boy likes to swear... If they swear in the movie I'm gonna be angry and have to vent my frustrations all over again.

I hope they put Beorn in the movie and don't leave him out like they left out Glorfindel and Tom Bombadil in LOTR.

Oh, and just as a warning, I'm a newbie here, and this is my first post.
So I might be kinda lost... :)

Welcome to Entmoot then=) You're right, the movie is way too far away for my liking. But at the same time I like the thought that there's Tolkien on the movie poster for the foreseeable future=) The movie-ride (which began in 01-02) isn't over yet!

According to most accounts from both the director and producer, they're going to try to continue along the same feel as the other LotR movies. Same tone, same target demographic, and presumably the same number of toys-happy meals-companion books, etc.

Despite the name of Del Toro as director, this is still a Peter Jackson film.

They proberly will include the former, because unlike the latter two, he's actually smewhat important to the plot!
