View Full Version : Any interest in a Rohirimm RPG.

The Sasquatch of Fangorn

Just wanted to see if anyone wanted to join an RPG that I'm thinking of starting. It takes place in Middle-Earth after the war of the ring. The riders of rohaan have just re-assembled after their battle at Minas Tirith when Grima Wormtounge takes over for Saruman, and get revenge on Rohann.

Wadda ya think? ;)

I'd be interested.

Tell me more. :)

Sorry for meddling - as I am not planning to join... (I have too little spare time *sigh*).

I only have a question/suggestion: With what forces would Grima take over Rohan? All Saruman's troops have been destroyed, while Theoden did leave some riders behind to defend Rohan.

However, there is a possibility to wriggle out of it, I think. A large portion of Dol Guldur troops that attacked Lorien on March 11, 3019, continued further to Rohan. They were destroyed by Ents on March 12. If you let them escape the Ents' vigilance, then they could take Edoras. Maybe they would allow Grima to join (nice to have a local traitor who knows all ins and outs).

Alternatively, you might consider Dunlendings - maybe they were not really pacified.

Here are my 2 cents anyway...Hope you don't mind.

Not at all! Actually, I was thinking of something along those lines. :D I was also thinking of adding rouge forces to the army such as dunlinding ect. I was also going to have Grima find the book that Saruman got the "recipe" so-to-speak for the Uruk-Hai.

I've had quite a bit of fun playing LothÃ*riel, Éomer's wife and the daughter of Imrahil of Dol Amroth in another 4th Age Rohan RPG...could I play her in this?

Why not? I'm going to make up my own person, but if you want to use her go right ahead!

A recipe? Breeding and interbreeding - it takes a lot of time anyway. Orcs and Uruks reproduce "in the manner of the children of Iluvatar";)

As you know, I would love to join. Are we making up characters or using existing ones...orrr both?

Thought I'd go ahead and put up a character description here. :)

NAME: LothÃ*riel
RACE: Human
GENDER: Female
AGE: 22
HOME: Dol Amroth
FATHER: Imrahil of Dol Amroth
RANK: Queen of Rohan, wife of Éomer Éadig

PHYSICAL APPEARANCE: Slight and delicate, LothÃ*riel stands out among the tall, strapping folk of the Rohirrim. Her hair is dark and long, and her eyes are brown. She is quite lovely in an almost 'Elvish' sense - it is easy when looking at her to believe Imrahil's claim that there is Elvish blood in their line.

PERSONALITY LothÃ*riel is quiet and reserved, very much a Gondorian as opposed to the louder and more forward temperment of the Rohirrim. This leads some to think that she is snotty, but in truth she is not. Part of her quiet is because of the fact that she is not particularly happy in Rohan. It is a bit of a culture shock to her, being far less 'civilized' than Dol Amroth, and she misses the sea. She also feels rather isolated as she doesn't speak the language and hates horses.

If you want to make up a character go right ahead. It's a first for me too. This is the first RPG I've ever done where I can't be a dwarf!

Whats up with all the excess "a"s in the names? It sounds interesting and I may join if my school doesn't drown me in papers.

Yeah, what's with all the extra 'a''s?

For Rohaan: the battle for the relm of the horse-lords.

The extra "a" is a run-away letter: it used to be in "realm":D

Hahah, whoops, it ran off an joined the union I suppose.

But also in the name Haamas nor Haama, doesnt need that many a's in them and there isnt much else that it could run away to.

The Sasquatch of Fangorn

That would be fine with me. We could have the elves (lead by them) come to the rohirimm's aid. I just need people to post!

NAME: Edyna

RACE: Human

GENDER: Female

AGE: 29

OCCUPATION: Gondorian Ranger

APPEARANCE: Edyna is fairly small, but slender. She wears the cloak of the Rangers and is usually in clothes that help her blend. She has great skill with the bow and sword. She wears both her quiver and sword on her back. She has red hair that she keeps cut at the shoulder and piercing blue eyes.

PERSONALITY: She seems to be gentle, but can be quite deadly when she has to be. Edyna keeps to herself most times, but will stand up for someone she feels is being threatened. Her loyalty can not be bought.

HISTORY: Edyna was born in Gondor to parents that were well off. As a child she spent a lot of time around the stables and the practice fields of the soldiers. As a teen, she forsook her high birth and joined the Rangers, soon proving herself a capable fighter. During the War of the Ring, she fought by both Boromir and Faramir's sides, spending most of the War in Osgiliath and the Window of the West. When they were forced to flee when Osgiliath was overrun the second time, Faramir ordered her to stay in Gondor when he took a handful of men to retake it, assuring her he didn't want to have her death on his hands when they made the suicidal charge. She fought in the following battles.

Edyna is currently among the Rangers following Faramir.

I'll get my second character in as soon as think of a name for him.

NAME: Edmund

RACE: Human

GENDER: Male

AGE: 40ish

OCCUPATION: Rider

APPEARANCE: Edmund is fairly tall with a muscular build. He keeps his blond hair cut below the shoulder. He is a master swordsman, but prefers the spear. He has a scar on the right side of his face and is missing his right eye, which he keeps covered with a patch.

PERSONALITY: He is gruff. He will say what he thinks and mean what he says. His loyalty is to Rohan and to the King.

HISTORY: Edmund was born the son of a Rider, the youngest of four children. His father taught him the sword, spear and bow; he mastered the first two but could never grasp the talent to use the bow.

When he was old enough, he joined the Riders. He became fast friends with Eomund and later his son Eomer. After Eomund's death, Eomer, when he was old enough, took over his father's eored, which happened to be Edmund's. Eomer swore loyalty to the young Marshal.

During the War of the Ring, Edmund fought in several key battles, including Helm's Deep. He lost his eye at the Battle of Pellinor Fields, but refused to remain behind when Aragorn led them in the march against the Black Gate.

He still serves Eomer loyally

Hi, I really want to join. I'm working on a character, I'll jump in when I get it down.

K, here is my profile
Name: Elden
Race: Human (Rohan)
Age:15
Appearance: Blond hair, blue eyes, 5-5 1/2 feet, medium build
History: Grew up in Rohan and like all citizens of the country developed a fond love of horses. Was never one for violence and fighting, though understands the need for it. Grew up as a stable hand and quite content with it. Fought during the battle of Helms Deep only because of the dire nessecity for it, his father died in the battle, making Elden the "man of the house" and leaving him to take care of his mother. When the War of the Ring was over he resumed his job in the stables. During the war became friends with Edmund.
