I always thought the Leaf brooch pins were attractive, but I never obtained one. Sting would be pretty cool to have, too.

I dunno if there is anything you 'should' have in your collection. Personally I think you just should go with anything that strikes your fancy and falls in your budget.
Aside from the books I mostly tend to drift towards nice fantasy art posters. The map of Middle-earth that hangs on my wall has proven particularly handy in case I forget where I last left my character in a RPG and what the quickest road is to Rivendell. :D

I have a few action figures, puzzles, movies, books and such, but my favorites are definitely my Treebeard action figure and my Gandalf the Grey Marionette that I got in Prague. So my advice is to look for abstract things aswell as your typical collectables ;)

My most recommended items from my collection:
The bookmarks - I love bookmarks and especially my LotR ones
The Extended Editions of the movies - Better than the theatrical editions
The boxed set of the books - Easier to read than the giant one
The Languages of Tolkien's Middle Earth - Great book if you like Elvish
The Silmarillion - A must-have book
The Battle for Middle Earth - My fav computer game
LotR Trivial Pursuit - I always win:D

I have one - it's very pretty. I also have the Rohan brooch, which is also very nice. They look nice when I wear a black shirt or dress.
And yes, I know I'm a Tolkien purist and hate the movies...but these things were pretty anyway. ;)

Yeah, most people think that on messageboards, because it just so happens that the characters I like most are generally guys. ;) But nah, I'm female, through and through.

Please don't laugh....
I have LOTR toilet paper. I don't use it, though, it's from a few years back and I didn't want to see my favorite characters go to the Cracks of Doom daily. O_O

Sorry to bump an old thread, but I have a lot of those. The only one of those I don't have are some of the bookmarks and the LotR Trivial Pursuit. I do however have the LOTR Monopoly. That's quite fun - comes with a ring and everything!
About Battle for Middle Earth, I mostly play the Rise of the Witch-King expansion for BFME2. I'd say it's the most fun I've had, especially with Unofficial Patch 2.0.3, or with RJ's mod for RotWK (both of which can be found on Filefront's Lord of the Rings page or TheThirdAge.net. I've done a lot of modding lately with it, and it's really exciting to create new visual effects and models to put in the game and see how they come out!

I always thought the Leaf brooch pins were attractive, but I never obtained one. Sting would be pretty cool to have, too.
My husband bought me one of the pins shortly after they were available. It's very pretty. I have the books and movies too (both theatre and extended editions) and the CD soundtrack to the 3rd film.
What I've really coveted though is one of the elven cloaks. They were offered by the company who made them for the films but at far too dear a price for us.

I'm so jealous! I want all forms of LotR TP!
:D
I seriously have asked for Lord of the Rings Trivial Pursuit for years and no one will ever get it for me. They're like, "You'll just beat us all in it." As for the toilet paper, I don't think I could find that on Amazon... :)
