Sky are goona be showing all 4 starwars films soon, but they're showing the first 3 first, and then phantom menace last. Surely they should show phantom menace first shouldn't they?
Also how many more films are there to still be made? Is it 2, or another 5?
And can anyone tell me why did Lucas make the last 3 first???
Thanks

Certainly I can. There are two reasons. One is that A New Hope needed less special effects than Episode 1, he had it thought through better and it was a better launch point. Plus the other three were mainly history, not the real part of the adventure. Another reason is that that is probably one of the most action packed parts of the six tape series and had a good ending (unlike some of the other episodes).
Unfortunately, all we have to look forward to are the remaining two episodes. The others were considered but decided against. All George Lucas had originally planned for were the six, the others were after thoughts which wouldn't really have ever connected to the rest of it all.

A New Hope is another name for the movie commonly referred as just "Star Wars" (the 1977 one).
You'll notice when the credits roll at the beginning, it says STAR WARS IV: A NEW HOPE
People call it ANH to make it easier to distinguish it from the other SW movies.

Thanks :) I just realised that when I saw it advertised recently.
I'd always known it as star wars before.
