We the undersigned constituent members of Entmoot request, quite plainly, that a forum, subforum, or a designated place soley for the purpose of a new, expanded Entmoot government to be housed in. As a thread is too difficult to maintain three branches of government in, and difficult to keep up with, a forum needs to be created so all may vote on issues involving the new Entmoot government set up by the Entmoot constitution being drafted as we speak.
I suggest that the creation hereof shall wait until I have drafted the entire constitution, and it is ratified by at least twenty Entmooters. But those in support, say "Aye!"

Aye!
I'm glad we're now in agreement. Perhaps it would be in the best interest of our ends to actually display that which the ends will promote. Thus, I present to you the proposed Preamble for the Declaration of Principles and Constitution of the Free Socialist Empire of Entmoot.

Well, I don't think that should be too much of a problem...too much.

This bores me stiff. We've already had about 12 months of Entmoot Electioneering... and the actual elections are still 9 months away. The REAL election process is tedious enough... why do we have more of the same when we escape RL and come to the 'moot?
Can I just vote that we don't even have elections anymore?

Four months, Val. We've been at it four months. ;)
One man's bore is another man's hobby, my friend! :D
You very well could. Just send a petition to the Entmoot Congress to be voted on by every one else and then subject to vetoing by the President. I'm sure they'd support it. :)

Arghhh! Just the kind of red tape I wanted to avoid.
Can't I just vote NO somewhere?

Well, I was thinking of doing the good old NationStates trick of "None of the above."

I'm happy with the laws the way they are. And I also tend to trust the current moderators and administrators a bit more than I do the will of the mob :p. No offense ;) :D.

I agree with that.

I feel that having a subforum would just outline the fact that the Entmoot government does pretty much nothing all day. ;)
The irony of this statement is not lost on me. :D
I hope that Mooters know they can always PM your duly elected representatives to enlist our help. :)

I'm glad that makes *counts* three of us. An additional half if you count Durino.

I want my gherkins.
I want BOP's gherkins, too. :p
However, I don't want a constitution, or a sub forum, particularly from Tabby, who hasn't dared the rough and tumble of our CURRENT political system, even enough to be around, recently. :p I expect my elected officials to be available for pillory as the occasion warrants. ;)

I have only like, 2 posts, well not really, but in comparison...so hopefully I can vote. :p :D
I vote aye on this. It sounds like it would bring more organization to it (as long as it didn't throw everything out of order). :p

Thank you, those of you in support.
As the presidential candidate for the Brendonianist Party, I shall renew my fervor for pushing this, in spite of the rather shocking reaction I recieved. :D
The constitution, if pushed through, would define what place everyone belongs in. The Entmooters themselves have relatively (which isn't to say no) say in the governing of the message board, and it seems only fair that they have a right and ability to do so.
And to answer to your response, Sister, I am always open to be dragged out in the street and shot, if that's what you so wish.
Wait. So you guys are holding elections in November 2008, and people are already campaigning?

April 2008, Ben! :)
And actually, yeah, we started a year and a half ahead of time. :D
Well, I got the ball rolling, much to everyone's dismay.
Which is why I think the election fervor has died down when it should be at its peak.
