There's something wrong in either Flamel or Dumbledore's ages: that is unless Dumbledore himself is 500 years old.
We know Flamel is over 600 years old. He could live this long becuase of the Philosopher's stone. It is also stated that Dumbledore helped him make the stone. Therefore, Dumbledore lived 550 years ago? Which is probably not true, becuase as far as we know Dumbledore did not take the elixir. A mistake perhaps?

maybe dumbledore used a timeturner.

maybe dumbledore used a timeturner.I don't think it's possible to go in the past with Time Turner that much. Besides I don't believe two Dumbledores lived during the next 500 years.
Edit - http://entmoot.com/showthread.php?t=11451 - the thread tolkienfan mentioned. :) I remembered there was such a thread.

ah, thank you...also, a time turner would explain the blackened hand, all that wrist turning...

Flamel could have created the first stone that only extended life. Wit DD help Flamel could have improved it so that it turned metal into gold.
Unless DD and Flamel made 2 stones while they were younger and they destroyed Flamel's but kept DD's. If so why didn't DD share his stone with Flamel? Or did they and Flamel never Die?

not anything to do with his age excactly, but still something major to do with him, and i didn't know where else to put it, so here (http://www.knight2king.net/Knight2King/weasleyisourking.html) it is. Also to do with a certain other character...
Mad or what. :) :D

Very observative of them, I don't believe it though. That's just too weird. All those coincidence things are a little odd though...but it can't be. No way.
