He mentions that the new owner has "some radical changes in store for the community." Bmilder will keep the Tolkien Trail website.

What are your comments and thoughts on the new, future board ownership? What do you think the "drastic changes" will be?


Personally, I hope the site retains its ties to the Tolkien Trail site.

I think the drastic change might involve some minor advertising on the site like the fairly inoffensive Google text ads. After all, the new owner will probably want to cover his cost of buying the site and/or server costs.

Or maybe he will invest the money for the sheer awesomeness of owning one of the greatest message boards on the internet.

I hope bmilder continues to post here now and then. Now that he doesn't have to deal with board maintenance, maybe he'll have more time for mooting! :D

I found a thread in the archives(see below) about an April Fools bit they did in '03. On post #18 Dunedain gives a link, which in the following post says something about Entmoot changes, and when it is clicked on brings me to the newest anouncement here. I don't know anything about the inner workings of Entmoot, but this seems rather odd to me. Ummm. Is this just a coincidence, or.... proof?

Amen to that, it was good to know the black lay-out wasn't going to last because I just might have blown a fuse myself. (The last few days have had me in a less than pleasant mood.)

Okay, I missed something important. What exactly happened? I read the posts, but they only confused me. Help? (DARN! I should have NEVER agreed to go racing with my dad--it WAS fun and he made semi-finals, and got $100 out of it, which he has to sign over to me because he owes me $200 :p, plus as a bonus I learned to play my first song on piano: I Got Rhythm!--because I missed A WHOLE LOT!)

The black backround was cruel, Preciouss. It burns our eyes! I thought it was a joke. Never trust anyone on April 1.

You don't like black backgrounds? I LOVE 'em! This green and orange and white hurts MY eyes, but it's worth the pain. :) Hence, you'll notice ALL of my websites and message boards tend to have black backgrounds w/ white or yellow text (they say that yellow on black is the greatest contrast in color for the human eye. White on black is probably the runner up). Doesn't tire your eyes out as quickly. Imagine if Entmoot was red! :eek:
