Okay, this is an RPG that really sprung from an item introduced in Assassin's Shadow. It was called the mithrilstone, and was just that: a mithril stone, carved with a rune. Anyone who held it went into a beserk battle frenzy, but became "addicted" to the stone as they used it more and more. Seperation equaled "withdrawal".
The stone exited the story when the dwarf Nakoin swiped it from one of the main characters, and vanished into the mountains that Minas Tirith nestles against. This RPG will include some of the characters from Shadow, and will definitely have many new characters.
It will mostly be set in and around Moria, as the heros face a new threat underground. The Mithrilstone will play a central role.
Anyone interested? Discuss it here.

You know I'm in! :D
Name: Acalewia

Profession: Half elf Dunedain

Weapons: Sword, bow, two daggers, two knives.

Appearance: Tall with golden-brown hair and hazel eyes. She wears a tunic and breeches and knee-high boots. She has a quiver and two long elvish knives on her back, a sword at her side, and two daggers hidden in her boots.

Personalty: Loyal and tough. She can be a dangerous enemy to orcs and any other evil being

History: Born to an Dunedain Father and an Elvish Mother in Rivendell, Acalewia is the oldest of four children and the only daughter. Dispite her gender, Elmar taught his daughter the ways of the Dunedain. Around the age of 19, the band Acalewia's family was traveling with was attacked by orcs. Elmar was fatally wounded. With his dying breath, he passed on the family sword to Acalewia. Soon after her mother took ship to the Undying Lands, forsaking her children and leaving Acalewia to care for three teenaged boys. The two oldest sons, Ramen and Remen, shared their father's fate; they were killed by orcs they attacked in an effort to advenge Elmar.
Acalewia took her surviving brother to Mirkwood, then to Loren after being scruntized for their mixed birth. Both Acalewia and Elnar learned the bow and the use of the long elvish knife.
During the War of the Ring, Acalewia took up the name "Eruanna", a name given her by Gandalf. She fought in both Rohan and Gondor. After a falling out with the Steward, she left Gondor. When the Steward's sons, Boramir and Faramir, tried to convince her to stay she only told them her return would signafy the King's. Unbeknowst to them, Acalewia was close friends with the heir of Islidor.
True to her word, after the battle of Helm's Deep, Acalewia returned to Gondor only to find Faramir near death and the Steward's sanity gone.
After the War, Acalewia resided mostly in Gondor but went North often. It was in the North that her love, Arlagon, was killed by strange goblins. She tracked them to Ithian and got involved in a war against a man called the Assasin.
Now the man has been defeated, but another evil lurks...

This is your character from AS, right?

Acalewia
03-09-2006, 01:39 PM
One of them.
Maybe we can us the stone to destroy the 90 sec rule :D

Curubethion

:D
Now, let's see. LWR, rTR, are you up for the sequel?
And anyone else ready to join in? We've got tons of characters already that you might be able to persuade someone to let you use. Makoin, Hluor, a few random NPCs... :p

Acalewia

How long after AS does this take place?

I'm in don't know what character i'll take yet, except I got dibs on Gimli :D

How long after AS does this take place?
It'll be at most half a year or so after it. It's an immediate sequel.
rTR, good to have you back! You'll be able to play any surviving characters from AS that you played there. So, Gimli, Makoin, Hluor, and Alatar (if he decides to stick around-which he might not, being a wizard...) would all be viable. Also Eomer...and Acalewia, you can play the character you registered, plus Elnar. And I forgot who Colomir and Curamir were affiliated with...but they can go in too.

Lady Willow Rose

I should probably sign up.

May I play my present character? Her mysteries could carry on into the next story.

Name: known as Willow
Profession: rather not say
Race: wouldn't believe me
Appearance: Short but limber. Her hair is long and brown, her eyes are mismatched. One is green and one is blue. This is her human appearance.
Weapons: A sword and magic.
Personality: Sweet, quiet but often very stubborn.
History: rather not say

Acalewia

rTR playes Curamir and I play Colomir.
So we're pretty much going to stick with our orginal characters, huh?

rohirrim TR
03-20-2006, 11:03 PM
sounds good, but are all the rangers going to Moria? do the dwarves call for aid or something?

Curubethion
03-22-2006, 11:46 PM
We're all sticking with our original characters, but it looks like I'll have to make myself another one, because Curmaar reached a noble end. There will probably also be other dwarves up for play, as well as goblin chieftans. I think it would help if we had multiple people playing on the evil side as well, and not just as the big baddies.

As for plot, I'm not quite sure. The game's going to open with Nakoin and the Mithrilstone. Somehow, it's going to be tied into a great evil that is awakening in Moria. So I think the heros are going to get wind of it via an ominous dream that Willow or Acalewia or someone similar has. They'll be scattered around, of course, perhaps most of them going back home.

Lady Willow Rose
03-24-2006, 12:58 AM
So... when do we start? :D

Curubethion
03-24-2006, 11:36 AM
I've just got a couple of things to wrap up about AS. Like an epilogue...I'm waiting on rTR to find out if he wants Alatar to stay in ME for the next RPG...which he might. I do have a villain picked out for this one, and he's fairly cloudy and mysterious...
We'll also need some character registrations. I'm waiting a bit on rTR. Don't forget, too that you can register another character. We've got plenty of goblin chieftans waiting in Moria! :p ;) :D
I'm thinking over my new character.

Curubethion
03-24-2006, 11:43 AM
Obi-Wan Kenobi style? :D
"Alatar, use the force..."

For my character, though, I think I'll make a dwarf...I always like dwarves...
Which means I might change my post picture to Gimli.

rohirrim TR
03-24-2006, 12:08 PM
should I register Alatar I'm thinkin he'll stick around for a little while just in case.

Makoin, dwarf of Erebor
age: younger than gimli older than Curamir
weapons: axe and shortbow

I'll register an Uruk chief later have to think about it though.

Curubethion
03-24-2006, 12:29 PM
Very good...although it's not Uruk chiefs but goblins...we're setting this in Moria. So there's not a lot of Uruks hanging around.
If you want, you can copy-and-paste the character regs. for Curamir and Colomir from the first posts of AS discussion. They're the same.

Name: Elrohir Nénharma
Profession: killing elves
Weapons: spiked whip, spinning blades, broadsword
Appearance: 6'3", blond hair, black eyes, wide shoulders and firm muscles. Very intimidating.
Personality: Often harsh, not very friendly. Often beats the female elves before killing them.

Curubethion
03-24-2006, 06:37 PM
Is this character a human? Orc? Cave Troll? :D
I guess for future reference you should include the following categories: Alignment and Race. I didn't think of those yet...
But, LWR, it looks like a pretty nasty archvillain there. (P.S. Elrohir is the name of one of Elrond's sons I think :p )

Also, everyone, I've left an opening for a couple of our heros to participate in a seperate mini-RPG: "Sands of Harad", which is the adventures they have on the way to give Curmaar his last respects in his homeland. You might want to commit one of your characters from Assassin's Shadow to this RPG and not to Mithrilstone.

Grishag Lug

orcish bipedal species, Genus Khazaduss doomus
thought by some evolutionists to be THE missing link between dwarves and goblins :p
weapons: throwing knives and heavy axe
talents: an aptitude for training trolls
ambition: to eliminate all superiors and enemies and OWN Moria for EVVVERRR MWA Ha HA HA AH

Lady Willow Rose

Yeah, Elrohir is an elf, but not a pure one. No connection to Elrond's son. That was coincidence.

Acalewia

Colomir: Son of Faramir and master of stealth.

Curubethion
03-26-2006, 05:24 PM
Hmm...I should register a character soon. But I like the orc registrations...don't forget to stay fairly serious. :p Don't worry, rTR, you're fine. :D
It sounds like Elrohir, being a half-orc that's waaay taller than the goblins, will be a captain. Grishag, on the other hand, has the highly coveted position of lugging around a cave troll. I might register an orc, but probably not. I'll be NPCing the main villain: a mysterious being known as "The Firstborn". You'll discover more about him as the RPG goes on.
I'm still mulling around some ideas for a new character.

Lady Willow Rose
It sounds like Elrohir, being a half-orc that's waaay taller than the goblins, will be a captain.
Um, actually Elrohir has a lot of disgust for orcs and goblins and so on. He likes to work alone, too.

"I suppose I should be thankful you have not fallen upon our company with a garrison of orcs and goblins," Willow said thoughtfully, pretending not to notice the knife gliding over her skin. Elrohir rolled his eyes.

"Really, how would I sneak up on you with a pack of ungainly creatures that smell like burned mud?"

Curubethion
03-26-2006, 08:39 PM
Nice...that really shed some light on his character. So, he'll be a freelancer going around Moria, then...not a captain. Wreaking havoc on goblins and dwarves alike.
I'm thinking about a dwarf who has a problem with being very serious...something like Basil Stag Hare, if you've read Brian Jacques...

Lady Willow Rose

What's happening?!

Curubethion
03-27-2006, 12:14 AM
I'm going to start it with a narrative post, but we don't have all of our characters in yet. I'll go ahead with my original plan...but I'm signing off now since it's late... :(

I want to make sure we have any of our characters from AS who are taking Curmaar to Harad registered in SoH. That way they don't accidentally end up in Ms.

So far, Curamir is there. So if you want to transfer your character into it, do it now before we start. If your character's not registered, register him/her. (I'll take my own advice when I'm on next time...give me a little time :D )

And after that, I'll make the first narrative post, and then we're ready to rumble! ;)

the hares are awesome, brilliant, wish I'd thought of that :D :D I'm wavering whether to make Makoin a sarcastic cynic, or a cheerful eternal pessimist (i.e. Puddleglum)

Here's my dwarf guy!

Name: Tarkhal Treehelm
Race: Dwarf
Alignment: Good
Profession: Roving smith/warrior, resident dwarf...
Weapons: Battleaxe, throw-axe
Personality, etc.: Very carefree, loves singing, isn't always very serious. Good-natured, loves to make jokes.
History: Brought up in the Iron Hills, but caught a bad case of wanderlust. When he matured, he left home to see the world.

Lemme see...here's a character tally (not including new characters).
Registered, we have: Lady Willow, Colomir, Curamir (not in this RPG), Hluor (not in this RPG), and Makoin. So...we have Acalewia, Elnar, and Alatar left. Gimli, of course, is in this RPG-but he can get NPCed. Once we get those regs in, we can start.

Hmm...let's see. I'll possibly post the game's opening post. Until we hear from rTR about whether Alatar's coming along in this one (which I'm pretty sure he is), don't post for the heros. Just post some setup for the bad guys-follow my lead! :D

Name: Lazhur
Race: Goblin
Profession: Goblin Captain in Moria
Weapons: Nasty, jagged goblin sword; dagger; dwarf-shield (scavenged). A jacket of ringmail.
Appearance: Tall for a goblin, so about 4'5". Wears a jacket of ringmail, plus spiky goblin armor on top. No helmet.
Personality, etc.: Just plain nasty, but cunning. Not overconfident. Likes to use others for his own personal gain. A bit of a coward, in that regard. He hates dwarves, obviously. :p
History: A lot of slinking around in Moria.

Curubethion
03-28-2006, 11:46 PM
Okay, LWR...if you want, you can post Elrohir doing whatever in Moria. Possibly fighting a duel with another goblin, or something similar. Or killing an elf or man. Don't have that character coming into contact with our major characters yet. Just do a post that gives us a good idea of his character.

Alatar is on his way Although I'm not sure whether he's going to the dwarves or to Arwen's rescue. Both of my rangers are off to harad so you'll have to connect why the rangers are gonna be there of course arwen does help explain why they'd be in the vecinity so...anyway we got a lot of potential here in this one. Although I'm betting it will become even more complex than the last one.

Lady Willow Rose

Poor Arwen. Elrohir is not the best company a girl could have.

The rangers are the escort for Curmaar's funeral journey. No need to explain anything.
Okay, now we can start with anyone...I'll set up the heros' parts.

Just to let everyone know, Elnar didn't ever say anything about LW's transformation. He kept it to himself. So nobody knows about it. This will allow LW to operate without drawing so much attention to herself.

And, if you're wondering, this is our first shadowy glimpse of The Firstborn.

actually only Curamir, Hluor and Elnar, are in SoH everyone else (Acalwecia and Colomir etc.) are in Ms.

anyway reflecting on things putting arwen there does explain why the remaining rangers might have a reason to help the dwarves take moria, avengeing their queen, take down Elrohir and what not, though I trust were not going to kill off arwen that would kind of go against the books.

Lady Willow Rose

Okay, I get everything with the rangers now.
Hey, here's an idea. What if one of the rangers accidentally was responsible for letting Elrohir take Arwen, and so he/she's really motivated to take down Elrohir? To make up for their mistake.

Lady Willow Rose

Brilliant idea, Curubethion!

And then Elrohir will kill the ranger... :( Darn it.

Lady Willow Rose
04-01-2006, 08:56 PM
Hey, I was wondering if everyone is going to gravitate toward Moria. And if Aragorn was going to come in order to save Arwen.

Or is it just a Ranger thing?

Curubethion
04-01-2006, 11:50 PM
I don't know if I want to bring Aragorn into it yet...what if he's off on campaign somewhere?
OOH! I know!! He's in Sands of Harad, escorting Curmaar's body!

Now that we've got that settled...this is going to be a ranger-dwarf combo. I think that at the end of LOTR, some dwarves were headed back to Moria to form a colony, so this colony could currently be at war with the goblins-a war orchestrated by The Firstborn (BTW Acalewia, is that name from WOT? it sounds strangely familiar-and of course I wouldn't want to plagiarize poor RJ :p ).

No. You must be thinking of the Maiden of the Spear from Dragon Reborn. Besides I got the name from a LotR name generator.

Hmm...I never thought about the name "Acalewia" vs. the name "Aviendha". (I know the name so well because she gets a much bigger role in the next books)

Acalewia and Colomir probably are headed north because of the capture. The plot idea I'm mulling over is that Colomir slipped up during Elrohir's infiltration of Minas Tirith, letting the nasty villain capture Arwen. So Colomir grabbed Acalewia, or Acalewia caught up to him, and they both went to rescue Arwen. Will that work?

OK so Gimli, Makoin, Tarkhal and Legolas are around Moria.
Elrohir is outside a moonrune gate with Arwen.
Willow has had an encounter, so to speak, with The Firstborn. Somewhere in the vencity of Moria
Alatar is enroute to Moria.
Acalewia and Colomir are enroute North(?).

Sorry about that. :o It's in the original ending/epilogue that Tolkien wrote for LOTR...you can find that in History of Middle-Earth. There was a band of dwarves that already set out to establish a colony in Moria. I'm not sure who led them. Those are the dwarves that are getting attacked...although right now they're trying to drive off the goblins.
Anyone's free to create a dwarf character in the colony. In fact, it would help a lot...

04-19-2006, 01:26 PM
Gah! I got two dwarfs I'm gonna play now I'm stuck on names  I can't think of any that'll fit siblings!

Curubethion
04-19-2006, 07:29 PM
Use guttural letters like Kh, Z, G...and then throw in O's and U's. And an N or two. Other letters...use sparingly. :D

Lady Willow Rose
04-19-2006, 07:46 PM
I'm just going on with that conversation with Acalewia. Obviously not furthering the plot much. Maybe developing... Meh.

Should Elrohir come in and... kill some orcs?

Curubethion
04-20-2006, 12:06 AM
:D
Not yet...I'll make some sort of major plot development now.
Here's my dwarf colonist:

Name: Dalginn son of Malginn
Race: Dwarf
Gender: Male
Weapons: Two handaxes, which are fairly big.
Appearance: More limber than other dwarves, not as stocky. Wears a blue cape and sturdy armor. A somewhat short beard.
Personality: Eager to find ways to prove himself. Can hesitate if caught in very nasty situation...but he almost always gets into these anyway!
History: Got wanderlust, decided to help colonize Moria again.

Lady Willow Rose
04-20-2006, 12:27 AM
Good twist, Curubethion!

Willow seems to be suffering from a disturbing flux in her powers. Bad timing there.

Acalewia
04-20-2006, 01:16 PM
Whoa, Curub! Great twist i must say, but will it work on a half-elf?
Thanks for the tips guys, I'll work on the names.

Lady Willow Rose
04-20-2006, 02:30 PM
Well, even if it doesn't kill you, Acalewia, the elf part of you will take a hit.

I assume.
I think.
Eh

Curubethion
04-20-2006, 08:22 PM
It'll take some time to fully work, and the reason that nobody notices it will become evident eventually. It's actually a hint towards who the Firstborn is.

Lady Willow Rose
04-20-2006, 08:56 PM
I hope you don't mind Willow knowing that she's supposed to know something happened.

Curubethion
04-20-2006, 09:22 PM
Oh, that's fine. I just didn't want anyone healing it, not yet anyway. I like the premonition, in fact. It'll add suspense between the characters.

Lady Willow Rose
04-20-2006, 09:28 PM
:) I'm glad!

Willow is going to have serious trouble with the Firstborn. I can tell.

Curubethion
04-20-2006, 10:45 PM
More than you know.
:D

Lady Willow Rose
04-20-2006, 11:05 PM
Oh, jeez, that's ominous.

Acalewia
04-21-2006, 01:29 PM
Well, even if it doesn't kill you, Acalewia, the elf part of you will take a hit.
If it doesn't kill me, it'll weaken me.

Lady Willow Rose
04-21-2006, 01:33 PM
Yep.
Or still kill you.

But don't worry! Willow has her own problems to deal with. The Firstborn is creeping me out... *shivers*

handy to have Alatar along for the ride I suppose.

Lady Willow Rose

Very handy. :D

Lady Willow Rose
04-21-2006, 11:45 PM
More than you know.
:D
It's driving me mad. What does that MEAN?!

Acalewia
04-22-2006, 10:31 AM
Willow, Colomir is with them. Curamir is leading Cumaar's funeral escort.

I have a name for My dwarves:
Dwrka and Renus, siblings who decided to help colonize Moria. They both use axes. Dwrka usually is the one that has to keep her brother from doing something stupid, while Renus is stubborn as a mule.

Lady Willow Rose
04-22-2006, 01:59 PM
*sighs* So many names in my teeny brain.

Curubethion
04-25-2006, 07:57 PM
It's driving me mad. What does that MEAN?!
It means I have a few unexpected plot ideas in mind for the wonderful villain we all know as the Firstborn.

It's good to see some dwarves showing up!

Lady Willow Rose
04-25-2006, 11:49 PM
Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of plot twists, I shall fear no evil...

...mostly.

Acalewia
04-26-2006, 01:10 PM
LOL, Willow.

Acalewia
05-01-2006, 06:36 PM
I think I know what the Firstborn is: Demented. :D

Curub, how long does it take for the curse/spell to take effect or for Acalewia to start to feel it?

Curubethion
05-02-2006, 08:53 PM
It's up to you to decide. You might want to have it kick in at a "convenient" moment.

And stop it you two, before I unleash the Firstborn in this thread! :D (He can't hurt me, because I'm the GM! :p )

Acalewia
05-03-2006, 01:09 PM
Convenient as in the worse possible time

Acalewia

I'm stuck on Acalewia and I can't do anything with my dwarves until Curub replies there.

I've no problem with it. Welcome aboard!

Curubethion
05-14-2006, 03:13 PM
Sweet! TD's on board!

Telcontar_Dunedain
05-14-2006, 04:13 PM
Name: Gundir

Profession: Bodyguard

Weapons: Double headed battle axe and two short swords.

Appearance: Short and stocky. Bald on the top of his head but has a brown beard. He covers up his baldness by wearing an iron helm.

Personality: Stubborn and untrustworthy, especially to elves. If he becomes friends with someone he is very loyal, but before that he does not trust any, even if they were related to him.

History: Grew up in the Iron Mountains under the rule of Dain. His father was killed in the Battle of the Five Armies and his mother died when he was very young. He taught himself how to become self reliant. That included how to catch food and how to defend himself. He lived for a while in Dale but became ubrestful and went in search of action. His search eventually brought him to the Blue Mountains. There he was hired as a bodyguard by a rich dwarf. After saving this dwarf from a small company of orcs, he became well known as one of the best body guards around.

Curubethion
05-14-2006, 06:01 PM
Nice. You could probably be the bodyguard to the chief dwarf.

Name: Tilgun Ironbeard

Race: Dwarf

Age: 130

Gender: Male

Profession: Leader of the dwarven colony

Weapons: A big battleaxe and a round shield.

Appearance: His hair is very dark, and so is his beard. He is short for a dwarf, but any enemy that underestimates him has quickly lost its head. He wears a brown cloak, and a chainmail coat. His boots are heavy and iron-studded at the heels.

Personality: He has a fierce determination, and will not back down from most threats. However, he knows when the odds are sorely against him, and will eventually retreat. He refuses compromise.

History: He proved himself as somewhat of a young dwarf in the Battle of Five Armies, when the leader of his battalion was slain by a goblin volley. He took up the standard, and led his army to defeat two whole groups of goblins. He was offered the chance to take back Moria, and jumped at it. He is one of the few who knows much about the Mithrilstone.

Lady Willow Rose
05-14-2006, 11:28 PM
Well, Acally and I are almost in Moria.

What happens next?

Acalewia
05-15-2006, 04:11 PM
Looks like my dwaves have a knack for trouble :p

Curubethion
05-15-2006, 04:32 PM
If I recall correctly, there wasn't a rune gate where the Fellowship fled Moria. Very odd, I agree...I'll have to check the books.

Acalewia
05-15-2006, 04:41 PM
Who said anything about a rune gate where the Fellowship fled Moria?

Curubethion
05-15-2006, 10:29 PM
"Door" just sounded a little bit like "rune gate", the way it was mentioned. But that's all right.

Acalewia
05-22-2006, 05:30 PM
Willow, are we going into Moria now?

Curubethion
05-22-2006, 06:07 PM
That would work, but you might want to give Alatar and Co. time to get away. That way we'd have two seperate groups going that could meet up at in a fight with goblins or something.
Hmm...do I need to add another plot twist? ;)

Acalewia
05-22-2006, 06:12 PM
I was wondering if we were going in the back door or the front door

Telcontar_Dunedain
05-23-2006, 11:21 AM
Gimli, Legolas and co. have gone through the west door, and if you were coming from Rivendell (can't remember if you were).

Acalewia
05-23-2006, 01:00 PM
Willow was coming from rivendell, but met my characters in Loren. That is where we are coming from.

Telcontar_Dunedain
05-23-2006, 01:02 PM
East gate then, where the Fellowship came out of.

Acalewia
05-23-2006, 01:17 PM
Ok then, Curub, where is that dwarf battle at?

Wacks the rule with a 2X4

Curubethion
05-23-2006, 10:05 PM
Somewhere, I'm not quite sure where. I'll go try to find a map of Moria. Then we'll all be on the same page.

Telcontar_Dunedain
05-24-2006, 11:04 AM
I'll try and find one. :)

Curubethion
05-24-2006, 02:51 PM
Unfortunately, most of what I can find is MUD maps of Moria levels.

Telcontar_Dunedain
05-24-2006, 04:02 PM
I'm not having much luck either. You can get a vague idea from LotR which we could work from.

Curubethion
05-24-2006, 05:07 PM
I'll look through the books and try to reconstruct a vague map from the text.

Acalewia
05-25-2006, 01:22 PM
That would help greatly, even if it is vague.

How long is 90 seconds?

Lady Willow Rose
05-26-2006, 04:52 PM
If a tree falls in a forest and no one's around, does it make a sound?

Acalewia
05-27-2006, 10:39 AM
Where did that come from?
It runs to find Aslan :p

Lady Willow Rose
05-29-2006, 05:28 PM
:D

That would naturally be my reaction also.

Acalewia
05-29-2006, 08:16 PM
What do you have up your sleeve?

Lady Willow Rose
05-29-2006, 08:30 PM
Sleeve? What sleeve? I do not know this sleeve of which you speak. :)

Acalewia
05-29-2006, 08:39 PM
Sure

Lady Willow Rose
05-29-2006, 08:53 PM
My innocence is deniable. :D

Acalewia
05-30-2006, 04:12 PM
:D :D :D

Curubethion
06-04-2006, 01:53 PM
Okay, here's what I found out in my perusal of FOTR: the Chamber of Mzarbul, also known as Balin's Tomb, is the north end of the 21st Hall, at the 7th level of Moria. This means that the whole of Moria is, presumably, divided into 21 Halls from west to east. So now we can actually refer to hall numbers in our posts, and clarify things.

It should be a fairly simple matter to locate everybody in Moria now.

Acalewia
06-05-2006, 03:25 PM
Sound like a plan

Telcontar_Dunedain
06-05-2006, 03:57 PM
So where is the battle happening?

Lady Willow Rose
06-05-2006, 04:05 PM
I'm all set for excitement. :D

Curubethion
06-06-2006, 10:48 PM
So where is the battle happening?
It's just a matter of hunting through the posts. If nothing's specified, I'd say something around the 20th Hall, 6th or 7th Level.

Acalewia
06-07-2006, 01:26 PM
I think Willow, Acalewia and Colomir are in the 21st hall  I'm not sure which level

Lady Willow Rose
06-07-2006, 01:50 PM
*stumbles around*

Goodness gracious.

Now's a good time for a map. :o

Curubethion
06-10-2006, 11:00 PM
The higher they are, the higher the level. I'd guess about sixth level.

Acalewia
06-11-2006, 03:40 PM
So we're about he same level a the battle?

Lady Willow Rose
06-12-2006, 12:13 AM
I hope so.

Much more convenient. :D

Acalewia
06-12-2006, 02:14 PM
I have a feeling we'll be running into a few dwarfs soon ;)

Curubethion
06-12-2006, 07:09 PM
That sounds about right. Time for a big huge battle?

Acalewia
06-12-2006, 07:29 PM
I thought there was already a big huge battle going on ;)

Curubethion
06-12-2006, 07:52 PM
I meant an even bigger battle! :D :p

Acalewia
06-12-2006, 07:58 PM
Oooooo. Bigger? Fun :p :D

Lady Willow Rose
06-12-2006, 10:06 PM
Much more fun.

Willow with her otherwordly powers and unstable physical form...

Such chaos.

Acalewia
06-13-2006, 01:31 PM
:D and an elf that could succom(sp) to a curse at any moment ;)

Lady Willow Rose
06-14-2006, 12:18 AM
Gods, now that would be inconvenient. :D

Acalewia
06-14-2006, 10:22 AM
LOL :D No kidding

Curubethion
06-14-2006, 10:23 AM

I wonder if the GM should "hurry it up", if you get what I mean. ;) :p

(You know, I should write an article about these smiley combinations...they can get so complex...)

Lady Willow Rose
06-15-2006, 06:45 PM
Oh, brilliant, Curub.

And then Willow will be dashing about, protecting Acally and fighting orcs and maybe even running into Elrohir.

There's no way she'll keep a stable human form.

No way.

:D

Acalewia
06-16-2006, 01:12 PM

I think I should decide when that will happen, you evil GM :p

Curubethion
06-16-2006, 02:11 PM
Muahahaha...

I'm not the evillest GM out there, though...hehe...you could ask poor Sevold about that... :p

Acalewia
06-17-2006, 10:22 AM
Which is why I'm keeping an eye on that GM. ;)

Lady Willow Rose
06-18-2006, 06:09 PM
What is a GM?

Acalewia
06-18-2006, 06:20 PM
Game Master.

Holy ****! O btw, I think that curse is going to affect Acalewia little by little.

Lady Willow Rose
06-18-2006, 06:29 PM
Okey-dokey! :)

Acalewia
06-18-2006, 06:33 PM
I finally quit being lazy and scaned a drawing of Acalewia (http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j231/Acalewia/AftertheBattle.jpg)

What ya think. I did it on notebook paper two years ago as an illistration for one of my short stories. Acalewia is that character, only with a different name.

Lady Willow Rose
06-18-2006, 06:52 PM
She's so cute!! :D

Curubethion
06-18-2006, 10:47 PM
Hey, cool. I need to get a scanner, then I can get some pictures in. You've seen my fuzzy pictures already...

She reminds me slightly of one of my own characters in a novel, simply because of her weapons. My character fights with a shortsword and poisoned dagger.

Lady Willow Rose
06-19-2006, 01:18 AM
Hmm... So, is the Firstborn going to make an appearance?

After all, Willow just transformed. Surely he felt it.

Curubethion
06-19-2006, 01:48 PM
No, he's holding off. He prefers to send his minions to do the dirty work. The adventurers are going to have to smoke him out...and that'll be a nasty job.

Acalewia
06-19-2006, 04:24 PM
I got 2 words for that: Oh S***! :p :D

Really, Curub? You have a she-elf with an orc blood lust? :D
I realized after I scaned and posted it on photobucket that I should have made the sword a bit longer. but Hey at least you get the general picture of what Acalewia looks like. :)

holy cow, the son of a gun has minions!?! thats trippy  :D

Oh, that's just peachy, Curub.

Minions. Bleh.

Curubethion
06-19-2006, 09:16 PM
Really, Curub? You have a she-elf with an orc blood lust? :D

Well, he's not a she-elf...but he does have a little vengeance complex. It's getting progressively worse as the novel goes on.

Lady Willow Rose
06-19-2006, 10:09 PM
Well, Lady Willow is lying there... all defenseless...

Hmm...

Acalewia
06-21-2006, 01:16 PM
O brother. The things we get ourselves into, hmm?
Aparently, your elf killer didn't notice there was an elf nearby  :D

He was goin' for the big one!

Lady Willow Rose
06-21-2006, 07:21 PM
Thank you, Curub.

Acally, he's killed Elves a thousand times. It gets dull.

He wanted Willow because she's definitely new. And interesting.

Acalewia

and mortal ;)

What a twist, Willow! This is gonna be quite interesting.

Curubethion
06-22-2006, 04:13 PM
Whoa, no kidding! I think we'll have need of Alatar...a HUGE need.

Hmm...kind of sounds like she got stilled. ;) Or burned herself out...

Lady Willow Rose
06-22-2006, 06:57 PM
Well, the Valar did warn her. ;)

Curubethion
06-22-2006, 08:16 PM
Oh, wow...that really was a long time ago! I practically forgot about that little stipulation...

PS...Hluor is in the "Sands of Harad" RPG. Is this guy someone else, with an unfortunately similar name? Also...how come you posted for Acally?

Lady Willow Rose
06-22-2006, 08:44 PM
I need her reactions because no one of mine was actually in the battle.

Sorry Acally!

And I know the names are similar but I was using an elvish name translator thing-a-mabobber. It spit out that name.

Acalewia
06-23-2006, 01:05 PM
Hmm...kind of sounds like she got stilled. ;)

No problem, Willow. Looks like you know Acalewia well enough :D I was going to post her screaming her battle cry sooner or later.

Lady Willow Rose
06-23-2006, 10:52 PM
Seemed appropriate.

Oh, and by the by, Huor keeps his face covered at all times.

Just so you know.

:D All will be revealed at one point or another.

Acalewia
06-24-2006, 10:18 AM
Thanks for telling me that, Willow.

Lady Willow Rose
06-24-2006, 01:45 PM
No problemo! :)

Acalewia
07-01-2006, 01:26 PM
Willow's having it hard.

*Kicks rule in the head*

Curubethion
07-01-2006, 03:29 PM
Ouch, yeah! I'll be posting soon.

Acalewia
07-01-2006, 07:46 PM
Is that a good thing or a bad thing :D

Acalewia
07-03-2006, 04:21 PM
Ok that is not good!

Lady Willow Rose
07-03-2006, 04:34 PM
Certainly not. :D

*hacks away at the 90 second rule with a variety of sharp knives and axes*

Curubethion
07-04-2006, 11:55 PM
Wow, that was pretty cool!

"I would I could heal death" Acalewia wispered, bitterly
Hmm...sounds like a certain Yellow Sedai and a Dragon Reborn I know of... ;) :p

Lady Willow Rose
07-05-2006, 12:37 AM
Was that compliment directed at Acally or me?

Probably Acally

I felt pretty stupid when I was typing tha tlast entry

Curubethion
07-05-2006, 12:20 PM
The compliment was directed at the entire scene. Good job, everyone. I loved the Willow twist, as always, and 'Gorn showing up was a nice touch.

Acalewia
07-05-2006, 12:58 PM
Hmm...sounds like a certain Yellow Sedai ...I know of... ;) :p
Which Yellow? Or is she later in in the series?

Curubethion
07-05-2006, 04:47 PM
Cmon, you know which Yellow I'm talking about. ;)

Lady Willow Rose
07-05-2006, 08:29 PM
:D

Well, when you mentioned that Aragorn was just sitting in Minas Tirith, I decided to stick him in my plot twists pocket. ;)

Curubethion
07-06-2006, 09:01 PM
Lol. What else d'you have in there?
Wait, if you told me, it wouldn't really be a plot twist any more, would it? :D

Lady Willow Rose
07-06-2006, 09:06 PM
Definitely not :D

Curubethion
07-09-2006, 08:01 PM
Just to let everyone know, I'm going to be gone Monday and Tuesday...so don't do anything too drastic that I can't catch up on. ;)

Lady Willow Rose
07-09-2006, 08:24 PM
*writes it down*

Got it!

Acalewia
07-11-2006, 01:01 PM
So what do we do next?
Join the Dwarfs or look for Awen and Elrohir?

*Attacks the Rule with every weapon she can find*

Lady Willow Rose
07-11-2006, 05:59 PM
'Tis a good question...

Well....

Elrohir threw Arwen somewhere

Remember, he disposed of her

So we just have to find where!

Curubethion
07-11-2006, 09:53 PM
When you said "disposed of her", I actually thought you meant something besides tossing her into the Mines.

Lady Willow Rose
07-11-2006, 10:02 PM
I did mean that

;)

Acalewia
07-12-2006, 01:23 PM

Me too.

I do not type that fast to be caught by the 90 second rule!!!!

Sooo have we decided what to do yet? Or is Loremaster still trying to decide ;)

Lady Willow Rose

We should probably try to find Arwen's body

Oops :D

Are you still taking new participants and is there any restriction on the kind of character we can use? Can Oak Leaf join in on the 'fun'. Sands of Harad is out, because the heat and the sand would scorch her poor roots. :p

I am still fairly new to the RPG's here. The rules are different on different boards.

You can join in if you like :)

I have been reading through the RPG. Is the entire setting going to be Moria? I would have the think of a plausable reason why they would be followed by a Huorn. They would have had to have maybe taken something from it, or aroused its curiosity. Moria is big enough to house a Balrog, so why not a Huorn.

From here on out, the RPG is going to be in Moria. You're welcome to join. As you said, you'd have to contrive a reason for a Huorn to be in Moria. Now, there is a central artifact, the Mithrilstone, that Gimli has in his possession right now. The Huorn might have possessed that for a while.

Speaking of Gimli, we need to move Alatar, Gimli, Legolas, Nakoin and Tarkhal along!

To her it would have just been a trinket and a plaything. She would not have known it had any special properties. But she would have been miffed at having someone swipe her toy. She would have kept it hidden under her roots and someone perhaps dug it out when they saw something sparkling from under a tree root. She's been following people that have had the stone since. She would have a creepy name. It wouldn't be the sweet Oak Leaf. It would be something like "Choke Root".

Hey, that sounds like it would work!

An angry Huorn, huh? It must be Tuesday.

She isn't exactly evil, but she could prove an excellent "baddie" for the story. Something to spice up the RPG.

Now for a profile on Choke Root.

Name: Choke Root
Race: Huorn
Species: Black Walnut (Nice grumpy tree)
Gender: Female

Background and discription: This Huorn originally made her home in the heart of Fangorn. Her age can only be guessed. Some believe she predates the Ents. She isn't very big, but she is sneaky and can cloak herself in shadow. She wasn't much different than the other Fangorn Trees until she came to posses the Mithrilstone. No one knows how she came to posses it. Some say she had taken it from a traveler camping on the eaves of the forest. Then things changed for the Huorn. She became the dominant Walnut in her herd. The other trees respected her because she had a 'shiny'. This went on for was seemed decades. Then while she slept, someone passing through spotted the stone sparkling from under her root and dug it out with a trowl. Ever since, the Hourn has been following the stone in its travels.

Hmm...

Willow is an ancient of sorts

Maybe Choke Root and Willow could know each other?

It is a real possibility that she could have seen the Elf before or even known her. Your character is an Elf, isn't she?

No, darling

She is most definitely not an Elf

Exactly what race is Willow Rose? I like to have a little history, so that I can develop a little background as to why Choke Root knows her. Is Choke Root that terrifying shadow of her dreams?

Lady Willow Rose
07-19-2006, 08:26 PM
No, no dear

Lady Willow's race is not exactly of Middle Earth

She is an agent of the Valar

The closest description I could give you is 'angel' but she is different from those beings.

Huorn

Now to a little background on Choke Root: She is just a Huorn, but not a black hearted one, she is just an angry one at getting her plaything swiped. As she gets revealed by a light source, though, you'll discover that she is creepy looking.

Lady Willow Rose

All righty then!

Curubethion

Lady Willow wasn't the one who found the Mithrilstone. It was...I'm not exactly sure. Anyway, it went to Harad, and then got taken by Curmaar (who died in the previous RPG, when he slew the Icedrake). Before that, though, a dwarf had stolen it, and then Gimli found it. So right now it's actually with Alatar, Gimli, Legolas, Tarkhal, and Makoin. Who are somewhere else.

BTW, I'll be gone from Friday to Monday.

No kidding. It was bound to happen sooner or later, I was just hoping later
We'll just have to see what happens now. Of course, Shadowy Figure hasn't counted on Acalewia being half breed

Curubethion

Half breed? I wouldn't call her that...half-breed has somewhat of an orcish ring to it, like "half-breed goblin-men".

Let's see how everyone handles Big Shadow Man.
