YES!! And in my BOLD and never humble opinion, they were much better than that Hollywoodised children's cartoon of a flick "Narnia." Whatever! I'm serious; the BBC movie was SO much better! Much longer, I mean REALLY long, and sometimes a bit boring in its lengthiness, but MUCH more real Narnia-like.

Yes, I have a couple of the old BBC tapes. Haven't seen the new movie yet so can't compare them, but I really liked the old movies. Thought they were faithful to the books and the actor who played Puddleglum (Tom Baker I think - I'm too lazy to get up and look on the shelf) was the perfect marshwiggle.

the old cartoon version was kind of simplified, but not bad... i did not even know the series existed before i saw it... and i had already read out of the silent planet, perelandra and that hideous strength by lewis :p

Not the cartoon one, but the BBC The Lion, The Witch & The Wardrobe directed by Marilyn Fox in 1988. ALL the actors and actresses are wonderful in this particular film, and coming out of MY highly critical mouth that's saying something. Espeially the little sweetie who plays Lucy - she had tremendous range for one so young! You guys, check this one out if you haven't already. You can easily rent the DVD at any Blockbuster or whatever. If you love the Narnia tales, you guys'll love this old BBC movie. I think it is WAY better than the brand-new Uber-Hollywood Disney flick, but that's one girls' opinion... :)

The live-action were pretty good movies...despite the now-obsolete special effects :D . Oh well...But yes, good movies.

I saw a cartoon version of Lion, Witch and the Wardrobe, but I am not sure which version it is, but I think it is this (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0079474/).

I thought the cartoon was well done. (at least that is how I remember it. ;) It has been at least 15yrs since I have seen this version.)

I have seen part of the Silver Chair (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0098912/) with Tom Baker (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0048982/bio) of Doctor Who fame.

I liked what little I saw of the Silver Chair.
