I checked out how many times each of the ten post-icons has been used during the month of October. It's kind of interesting to see which are used the most. The Nazgul icon is used the most by far; its usage is nearly double the next highest usage (Strider). Gollum and Gandalf closely follow Strider. Gimli and Theoden are at the bottom of the list. Here's the complete stats (the numbers represent hits):

Nazgul - 7803
Strider - 4072
Gollum - 3984
Gandalf - 3967
Bombadil - 2567
Sam - 2541
Arwen - 2454
Treebeard - 2481
Gimli - 1461
Theoden - 1460

I think it's because when people post they don't alway's change the posticon

I alway's chose the Nazgul icon and so people who post after me got this icon as well unless they change it

I usually pick Bombadil when I bother to change it. And I have noticed that some forums seem to automatically pick a certain icon... am I imagining things?

The icon is the same as the one before it unless you change it

I almost always use the Strider icon. It's cool, although not quite "Strider-ish". More like a random Ranger than their Chieftain.

Strange: Up till now I always thought that the Bombadil icon was a Dwarf, and the Strider icon was a Hobbit...
And (oh, shame on me) I thought that the one I'm using in this message was Princess Lea. Hey, it does look like her, you have to admit!

:p

Oh? Nazgul could be a jawa! I don't remember any red eyes on nazgul, anyway. Gandalf could be Merlin, dwarf could be a viking too. But put together they do give a strong LOTR impression. hmm...maybe they need an elf.

I've always thought it was Merry. Maybe we should ask Noldo.

haven't seen noldo in awhile -

where are you...?

- we do need an Elf. Arwen doesn't look like herself IMO.

X....go to the bottom of Entmoot's main page....there is an entire list (pull down menu) of boards that are in our ezboard ring. I am sure Elven Home is listed there. If it isn't, it should be. :)
