Posts not updating thread?

This happened today in the 'World Politics' (http://entmoot.tolkientrail.com/showthread.php?t=11896) thread in the General Forum. I posted again three hours after I initially posted to see if it would update. It did that time. Has this happpened to anyone else?

This has been happening to me a lot. I can see that someone's posted on the forum index (or in the email notification), but it doesn't show up in the thread. Sometimes the post shows up later and sometimes it doesn't. In this thread (http://www.entmoot.com/showthread.php?t=8922&page=5) I still can't see Hanza's last post though she posted it a month ago (that was the first time this happened to me).

Yeah, it has been reported some times, but we haven't look much about it. I'll try and see if it's been reported in other vBulletin 3.

Let me update this by saying that after I click the 'post' button, the screen times out and I get the Windows standard 'Page Not Found' screen. I have to go back to the thread and the post is there, but the name and time don't update on the thread page.

I didn't find anything about this in the VBullertin community forum, but I may try again since this bug actually happened to me yesterday. It's very odd :eek:

I think I may need to update the counters. I'm just worried that doing so would revert everyone's post counts to the exact number of their posts currently on the board, and erase the modifications we made in 2001 when we added the old ezboard totals.

It has just happened to me again in the .lotr trilogy trivia' thread in the LotR Movies Forum. It's updated my post count and it shows in the thread, just not in the forum.

This just happened to me again today. I hadn't noticed it happening for a long time, but today I just got the "page cannot be displayed" (I've been getting that a lot here, btw) and you can see the post in the thread but nowhere else.

Katya - I just saw that (after reading this post of yours) - in the 'favorite Tolkien artist' thread of ME forum.

What was so odd about that one too - it wasn't a new page, which has often been the case with this weird bug. :confused:

I noticed it a few days ago too- brownjenkins actually has the last post in the favourite chapters of the sil thread, but it says that I do. Very odd, but nore than that, annoying.

Yep - same with my post at the venting thread. And I thought I had a duplicate post somewhere (by accident, really! :o ) but it didn't show up at all. Silly computer of my dad. Hope the other one (my brother's) is in a better mood today. :p

Am I the only one still having this problem? It's getting fairly annoying now! I see my post when I click on 'last post' for a thread, but otherwise when I look in General Messages, it hasn't been 'updated' at all! Meh.
