Well, I would send them to Galadriel, but she's married. Heck, I'll send them anyway, "from an unknown admirer." That drives women crazy.

Yes, But Elrond would be pretty annoyed if Celeborn was seen as his partner :( and I don't think Elladan and Elrohir or Arwen would like Celeborn as their "mother!!!"
ItalianLegolas
01-24-2005, 04:08 PM

Still, the thought of it makes me laugh so much, I can't get up off the floor.
I was thinking, what kind of valentine would you send to Smaug? Would there be anyone to send him a valentine? I don't ever remember reading about any female dragons...so I guess there were no baby dragons. :(

Bloody brilliant, Spidey. Brilliant. :D
I'd send a letter to Finrod. But he's married/betrothed himself (twice, if you ask SGH  ), so what I'd write on it doesn't really matter. One or the other would surely intercept and destroy it.
Then I'd send one to Maedhros... and I'm sure you'd steal that one yourself, Kellquenti. :p
So I'd be left sending one to Thingol with a message similar to Spidey's... and I'd make sure that no one came between that and it's destination...

Ingwe would have done the best job, hence his staying in valimar
and here's what ingwe would receive as a valentines gift:

the collar inscribed "For the Wisest of the Eldar"

mere speculation, but i believe under his supreme reign within the halls of valinor, all elves would be united as one culture, a wonderful hegemony

Let's do it. Let's link everything back to him.
I have to imagine Maeglin was pretty much psychologically scarred by what happened in Gondolin. His father tries to kill him, but ends up killing his mother instead. Then the uncle he's heard about from his mother decides to throw his dad off a cliff. Only Idril was against the whole thing. Anyone wonder why he fell in love with her?
As terrible as Maeglin was... I have to say that he had far more of an "excuse" than someone like Fëanor.
And dear Eru, I'm developing sympathies for Maeglin. Someone hit me, please. :p
