Are there any conventions?

Ok, so I know there are Star-trek conventions and stuff like that,so I was wondering if there are any Tolkien conventions, I mean, the Moot is kind of a really big one, but are there any where I can actually talk to fellow Tolkien-addicts face to face???

We have one in Norway, but I don't think you would come here from whereever to see us :) It is going to be the think we call aLEP-A long Expected Party-next summer. But ask Falagar, he knows more than me.

You know you're a fan girl when you see the word convention on a Tolkien forum and say to yourself "when? where? why haven't i heard of this before?"
I myself was thinking it would be fun to get together with fellow mooters in the area I live....but, if there is a convention.... :D :D

Hey, I just remembered that there's something called "Ring-con" somewhere in the Pacific Northwest region of the U.S. I don't know if they have a website...I really don't know much about it except for the name.
