This is a fun Thread ignore it if you want. Where would any of the Silmarillion males (Elf, man or whatever,) take their new ladies on a first date? What type of food would they choose and where would they go? If your'e really bold who would go with who? Be inventive!!! :D

What type of food would they choose and where would they go? If your'e really bold who would go with who? It was great :D
Can you say the opposite? where I would have gone if I married a chick? then I don't know, really. There isn't no eagle females mentioned anywhere so I guess I have to stay with some lousy human or elf...then it must be ehm.. No I don't know.

I suspect that Turin would take his date to a Goth bar where everybody wore black, pretended they were vampires, and talked about death. A lot. Fëanor would take whatever unlucky she-elf he hit on home to Formenos, to show her stuff he did and brag about himself. Beren would take his date on a picnic, look distracted a lot, and talk about his ex. Eärendil would take her to some waterfront bar.

Fëanor would have probably convinced his date to leave Valinor (and maybe even take the Oath). :D

Interesting replies so far!. Yep, why not extend the question to include where would the more forward ladies take thier Silmarillion males? and if two
couples went out as a foursome who would they be? There's some interesting and probably explosive partnerships that may get together!

Feanor would start out by honking the horn outside the 's house, thus perturbing her and enraging her parents, but through his assertive personality they still let him take the out. However, once in the car all he does is brag and she gets off on the highway and walks home before they even get to the resturant.
Beren took Luthien dancing, but after all those flowers sprouted up where Luthien had danced they threw them out. I imagine Beren as a pizza guy. They went out for pizza afterwards and he dared Luthien to eat the anchovies- which, it turns out, is why Thingol didn't like him.

I suspect that Turin would take his date to a Goth bar where everybody wore black, pretended they were vampires, and talked about death. A lot. Eol would do something similar, I'm sure.
With the extension to females...
-Luthien would go to some club and dance, inspiring a massive fight to break out between all those that she'd just made fall madly in love with her.
-Melian would start the evening off by staring fixedly at her date for a few years.
-Aredhel would spend the few weeks before the date prepping in a dark basement, then grab the doggie bag after dinner and run away.
-Ungoliant would eat her date.

Finduilas: If it was winter, I'd take her bowling and to a movie (whatever sappy chick-flick was showing). If it was warmer, we'd play miniature golf and go for a walk along the lakefront... maybe hit the beach, or play frisbee, or go to this one State Park about 90 minutes SW of town... :)

If Tom Bombadil were to go on a date, he would prolly spend a lot of time singing silly songs, and rescuing his date from various mischevious beasts. I think it might get tiresome, after a while...being rescued and all. But, Tom's a cool guy none the less.

Fëanor, at some point during his first date with a girl, would accidentally address the girl as "Silm- I mean Vivian" at which point she would get offended (and creeped out). Fëanor, feeling betrayed, would burn her car. Her father would take out a restraining order on him, but he'd come to see her anyway.
Lotesse
07-18-2005, 05:42 PM
And she'd sneak him into the house, and plead with her father "Oh, Daddy, you don't underSTAND, we're in love! Don't hurt him!" Which no doubt Feanor would ignore all this family strife and just kidnap Vivian and whisk her off to join him on his crazy rampage. Which she'd have no problem with. ;)
